Plenty of space to get away from everyday life. The cottage is located undisturbed in a small forest, but only 5 minutes to walk to the nearest store. Private parking, slightly steep path (about 50 m) from parking and up to cabin. 5 minutes to the nearest bus stop and 10 minutes to the dock where the fast boat adds. Water with canoe rental 150 meters from the cabin, 200 meters second way to the sea, access to outdoor storage equipment there too. If there is interest in alpine skiing, it's about a hour to sauda and 2.5 hours to Røldal.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Fossane Gard is secluded and here you can relax and feel the calmness. At Fossane farm we have sheep, chickens, a dog and a cat. Janneke and Martijn welcome you warmly. Within a few minutes walk you will find Giskelivatnet where you can swim or take a canoe trip. Mountain cabin in Trodla-Tysdal after 3 hours hike

Trodla-Tysdal has been a tourist destination for hikers since 1892. Tourists have to walk for appox. 3 hours (7 km) from Kleivaland parking place. There is no driving road to Trodla-Tysdal. Trodla-Tysdal means the valley of the Norwegian Trolls due the wilderness and dramatic nature. In 1996 Reidunn and Kjell built a tourist cabin for hikers. In 1998 in addition a small private cabin. In 2017 this small cabin was renewed and now it is possible to book this small cabin for you.

The cabin is located a bit by itself on the edge of a farm, beautifully situated on the slope down towards the idyllic Riskedalsvatnet. From the dining table or terrace there are views of the water. The cabin is built late in the 1980s, but is completely newly renovated with modern color choices in 2020. You will find everything you need in this cabin.
