Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Hocking County

This cottage and our hosts were so wonderful I'm afraid I'll forget to name them all! The setting is GORGEOUS. So private and magical. Every room is charming. The house offers a lot of privacy if you're there with a group. Beds and linens are new and luxurious. I have NEVER been in a cleaner place. Nobody missed a spot when they cleaned before our stay! Kayla was delightful--always responsive, friendly, and accommodating. I had such a good feeling about her. I suggest guests take advice about getting up the driveway seriously, especially if it's wet or icy. It was muddy and I got up just fine in my Subaru Forester and my friend got up without all-wheel drive. The place IS within reasonable distance of all the delights of Athens, but once we saw how delicious it was to be on the property, we just stayed put--we didn't want to leave.

Our family had a lovely stay! Home was very private and well laid out. Was very close to multiple hiking locations and we really enjoyed the hot tub.

We had a great time and would def return trip there!

What a wonderful place, everything was just perfect. It was a great Father’s Day family weekend and the place couldn’t have been nicer. The location was close to everything. You really couldn’t ask for something better, everything was perfect, thank you.

We loved it!! So peaceful to sit on the awesome back deck and area outside in the mornings and late evenings. The house was meticulous! It's only about 15 minutes to all the beautiful trails in the area. It was perfect for our girls get-a-way!

Clean, spacious, quiet, well-maintained home in a peaceful, wooded area. Favorite spot was the wrap-around deck with plenty of seating, outdoor fans, stringed lights. Loved listening to the birds, frogs and wild turkeys. Extras like the deck, fire pit, firewood, garage with games are added value. Really close to hiking trails, which was our primary reason to visit the area. The owner provided beneficial directions to this secluded location prior to our arrival. He was also responsive and most helpful when we lost power for 12 hours due to a big storm. I highly recommend this place.

The Airbnb has a certain country charm to it. It has everything you need for your stay. With a few trails to explore on the property. There was plenty of room to be comfortable. When we had trouble with the streaming services, the host came down and help resolved the issue. We would gladly book again if in the area!

Brookside cottage was a magical experience in terms of its location. The creek the water running the woods. It’s just spectacular. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was clean. You had everything that you needed. Location was quite peaceful. It was everything that we wanted. I spent a mom’s weekend there with my daughter from Ohio University, and we also enjoyed the hot tub despite the rain.

Had a great stay with our entire family! Lots of room for everyone and the kids loved their room! The pool was amazing and we enjoyed the outdoor space immensely! We would stay here again and highly recommend to others! Close proximity to all hiking and golf as well!

We loved our stay in this cabin. Very peaceful, private, clean, and exactly as described. So many places to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature and the beautiful surroundings. Ryan was extremely responsive to questions we had prior to arrival, and made finding the property easy.

My girlfriend and I spent our anniversary weekend here where we also got engaged! By far the most relaxing and peaceful weekend we’ve ever spent together. Thank you Amanda & family for hosting such a nice stay.

I have rented many modest cabins in Hocking Hills, and Fullbrooks stands out—everything we needed it to be. Great: well-appointed kitchen (sharp knives, sugar, salt/pepper); several outdoor spaces; super clean (including hot tub); clear stargazing (Milky Way); private (not secluded); comfy furniture throughout; extra towels, TP, paper towels, dish/hand soap; shocking lack of bugs*; dog-friendly (our big pup relished the free range—within easy view). Okay: 20-30 min drive to most HH attractions; patchy media (could connect phones to wifi, but even after resetting the router, couldn’t connect to Netflix/cast to TV from our phones); off-site check in/out added ~15 min x2 to our drive. Tips: Bring back-up matches for a fire and your own napkins. To those mindful of plastics/PFAS, the kitchen has only scratched up nonstick cookware; bring your own pot and pan, as well as a container to collect recyclables to take home. *1st Choice sprays for bugs, including bees. Poor pollinators. ☹

We very much enjoyed our stay and found the place clean, inviting and the decor was perfect. The host was very responsive to any questions we had and it was a great stay all around!

Lovely cabin and location for a long weekend. Clean with enough towels, hand soap, garbage bags, and TP for our weekend (even left the TP we brought behind :) ). Little things like a dog dish so I didn't have to use ours and the solar light in front so you can see the cabin from the road at night are special touches. Location was nice as it was close to Logan for a quick dinner out or to grab food to make in the cabin, but far enough away that it was quiet and peaceful. Appreciated having some level of WiFi, but be warned it isn't enough to work from or use multiple devices - which was fine by me this weekend! We enjoyed playing games and cards and were only slightly sad to not be able to watch March Madness as easily as at home. My only wish for this cabin is to have a washer/dryer after a day of muddy hiking and playing in streams. Did I mention how clean it was when we arrived? Wonderful place to stay!

We had a great weekend stay at the Lazy Rooster! We loved the fishing pond, large outdoor space, fire pit, and hot tub. Would bring laundry detergent, paper towels, and TP. Would recommend this cabin to anyone! Cheryl was a great host — very responsive & accommodating!!

Great place to stay when visiting hocking hills. This is right in between downtown Logan and all the hikes and trails of hocking hills. This apartment is the upstairs of the KOA campground activities building so you have very quick and easy access to all the KOA amenities as well which is very nice! Highly recommend Captain Ron’s pirate pizza 4 minutes up the street, the Rock House hike, and the Ash Cave hike.

We have been to Hocking Hills many times over the last 10 years and this is by far our favorite spot. The owners thought of everything and we're very responsive. We are already planning our next trip back.

The Chalet was gorgeous and we loved our stay. Samuel was very responsive and accommodating. He even allowing us a late checkout as our car was stuck due to inclement weather, showing concern for our safety and well-being. We absolutely recommend booking a stay at Samuel’s Chalet!

We loved our stay here! Perfect place for our dogs to be able to run free and fairly close distance to hocking hills! Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone staying with pets!

Such a quiet, peaceful hidden gem. The house is far from the road and up a hill. We were surrounded by deer, cattle, rabbits, chipmunks, and so many birds. We loved to sit on the front porch each morning while we drank our coffee and listened to all the birds. The hot tub is just what we needed after a day hiking at Hocking Hills. We brought our dog and she loved exploring the property. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful long weekend at Blackwood Haven! It looked exactly like the pictures online and had all of the amenities as well. private, peaceful location within 15 minutes to most hiking trails. Would highly recommend this house to everyone looking for a fun, relaxing vacation.

This was a beautiful place to stay and was perfect for my family of 5. Stocked with everything we needed to cook dinner while we were here. The s’mores and snacks were a nice touch too. I love that there was a Polaroid camera on the coffee table for us to use but we couldn’t get it to work.. I think it might have needed new batteries. Everything else was perfect though! Super clean and decorated adorably, we would absolutely stay here again if we are ever back in the area. Thank you for hosting us!

This was by far the best cabin stay I’ve ever had. Completely private and quiet. Had everything we needed in the cabin. Great for a family Of four . We brought our dogs and they had a blast . Fished for blue gill in the pond the whole time .
