The space

Built in 1896, this historic inn features 5 condominiums each with their own private extensive wings. The spacious West Wing is comprised of the entire first floor of the inn and features 1,800 square feet of comfortable thoughtfully-designed living space.

The kitchen is fully equipped and features an 8-burner gas stove with convection oven, and a walk-in pantry, ideal for cooking and entertaining. Wake up each morning at your leisure and make yourself a hearty breakfast with the provided locally-sourced maple syrup, pancake mix, bacon, eggs, coffee, and cheese.

Enjoy your breakfast on the large west-facing wooden paneled porch listening to the peaceful sounds of rural life. The inn is surrounded by nothing but picturesque views!

At night, retire to one of the 3 bedrooms, which all boast hardwood floors and great views through the antique glass windows. Every bed is hand-made from yellow birch with comfortable mattresses.

Get ready in the morning in one of the two spacious bathrooms. Both are updated with new fixtures, heated marble floors, stone counters, soaking tub, marble walk-in shower and locally-sourced soaps for your convenience.

Philo is famous for winter sledding, and is the home of jack-jumping.

Dave Garbose has owned, renovated and operated the Mt. Philo Inn for over 35 years. During Covid it changed into condos. Now only the West Wing is available to rent. What sets the historic building apart is fantastic views of Lake Champlain, our location adjacent to Mt. Philo State Park, in Charlotte, the areas most desirable town.
