Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Hoyvík

We were guests in this beautifully developed boathouse for a week. The location in the middle of the Faroe Islands is unbeatable, from here you can explore the whole country by car! It was just super cozy, quiet and relaxing here. The accommodation was exactly as described and everything was very clean and tidy. We were also very happy about the washing machine and dryer, you can't find that everywhere. Communication with the hosts was always very friendly, informative and fast. We can only recommend the accommodation as well as Maria and Pol as hosts and would definitely come again.

Torben is a terrific host, making sure we were set up and letting us know to get groceries in advance because the peaceful island of Nolsoy is sparsely populated and things close early. He checked to be sure we were ok without being intrusive. Directions were spot on and check out couldn’t be easier. His liberal checkout schedule is even timed to the ferries departing Nolsoy. The cozy house is shore front with views across the strait of Torshavn and is steps to walks in the village and hikes on the north side of Nolsoy island. The kitchen is freshly renovated with overly ample amenities. Abundance of kitchenware, spices and extras.

We travelled to the Faroe Islands as a family group. The house was exactly as described and according to the photos in a peaceful area in the village of Rituvík. Easy access and beautiful surroundings on a sheep farm. You could watch the sheep from the windows facing the sea. It was also possible to visit the farms sheep house and interact with the sheep which was pretty nice. The communication with the host went smoothly and the given instructions were clear. We had a wonderful time at Marion's. The apartment is beautiful and certainly one of the nicest Airbnbs we've ever stayed in. The view over Klaksvik is amazing, and the terrace is a great addition. The apartment is really well equipped and has everything you need. It was spotlessly clean and really spacious. I would recommend booking a stay at Marion to everyone. Thank you for having us! :)

Beautiful apartment right in the heart of Torshavn. Walking distance to restaurants, old town, and parliament with views of the marina. Plenty of parking available in the area but not at the apartment itself. There is a narrow staircase up to the third floor which is where you stay. We loved our stay here and would recommend to anyone staying in Torshavn

Kirsten is the best host ever. The place is homey. Kirsten care of everything. You can feel from the first step inside. I left my medicine that is important to my health and not aware of. Kirsten and her husband knew where I went and waited to catch me to bring my medicine to me.

We loved our stay here in Tórshavn! The place was extremely comfortable and cozy, and was within walking distance of everything we needed. Parking was easy and we had no issues while staying in town and exploring other islands during the day. The hosts were extremely friendly!

We had a great stay at Jóannes place. He also met us personally and gave us a lot of information. Apartment was very clean and uncluttered and had an amazing view and everything you might need.

Perfect location with great hosts. The apartment is very convenient for a family. The weather was not for the outdoor pleasure but there was a beautiful set up with table and chairs. We will definitely recommend and return if possible. All the very best from the Perraud family.

Anfinn’s unit is clean and quiet, it is close to all the beautiful surroundings, SMS mall and restaurants, it is easy to get here from another island or go to the airport in another island. I highly recommend this place and will come visit again.

A lovely house for short or long stay, with a good location and easy to park. It’s a great spot to stay in Faroe Island. If we have chance to come back, we will choose the same.

Excellent stay, the house was very cozy and tidy, we found everything very clean. It was very close to the center. We were going with a baby and Helgi helped us at all times by lending us a crib and high chair.

Perfect accommodation for a stay in the area, I recommend it! Thank you again for the fruit and cereal bar provided :) You have to plan ahead for the duration of the shower.

Just perfect! Sunfrid and Andreas are lovely, extremely helpful and responsive hosts. Their apartment is new and beautiful, meticulously clean and well appointed. You have the proximity to Torshavn (10-15 mins) and all the shops, restaurants, and amenities, but come home to a fabulous and relaxing view. Plus access to the sauna and hot tub :) Could not recommend more!

We loved staying at Benita’s place. Benita left us snacks and drinks upon arrival and was super responsive to any questions. The ocean view out the window was terrific, and the place was great to come back to after long days of walking, hiking, driving around the islands, etc. And it’s just a quick 5 minute drive into Torshavn, or a 20 minute walk. Everything was just as advertised!

Beautiful flat. Within walking distance of both the airport and the ferry port to Mykines. Very handy for our first two nights, allowing for the ferry to that island to see the amazing birdlife. The view from the terrace is absolutely amazingly beautiful. We had great weather and it seemed such a privilege to drink beer overlooking a fantastic sunset (which is very late in this part of the world). There was no booking immediately after ours and Arnjohn kindly contacted us to allow a later checkout. Great flat and host and heartily recommend

The place is very near to many tourist attractions in Vágar as well as the airport. The location is very good, it is near to petrol station, supermarket and restaurant. The stay also comes with a car which is very cost-efficient and convenient. The ventilation of the room can be improved, but overall it’s a very good place.

We only stayed here one night, but the place was lovely with a view of the water, which was great! It was spacious and the bed was comfortable! It was easy walking distance to shops and restaurants and would definitely stay again if we find ourselves traveling here again!
