lovely, comfortable accommodation in walking distance of airstrip. ocean frontage, love to hear waves crashing in. Fridge and freezer in room as well as Keurig for a morning coffee. Only thing missing really was some glassware to pour water/wine. Right next door a great B'fast place/lunchroom called 'Surf point', highly recommended.

Other than a little mishap with the wrong code to check in that was resolved within 5-10 minutes the Black Sands Hotel was a great stay. The part of the hotel room that can make or break any stay is the mattress. It was one of the most comfortable ones I have stayed in.

The rocky cliffs waves crashing view is wowzy. The roads to get there are a bit nerve racking if your used to mostly flat roads.

This place was perfect for my family. It was very clean, and we were very pleasantly surprised by how amazing the view was from the room. The large windows had more than an 180 degree view of the ocean. The sunset from our room was beautiful! The kitchen appliances were great and the room was open and spacious. We would live to come back and stay longer next time.

Highly recommend staying here, the space had everything we needed and more. The instructions were easy to follow and we found the spot easily and were able to get in with no problems and Tia kept in touch and was available if we needed anything. Had no issues with parking, always found a space. Great location, was able to easily drive everywhere we wanted to see and also go for some nice walks downtown and on the waterfront. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

We had a wonderful time at Black Sands Inn! The location was incredible, and the room was very well decorated with comfortable furnishings. There's a cute coffee shop next door and good restaurants nearby. You can't beat the beach access directly from the room. It was a really gorgeous location and a cute little apartment. We wanted to move in and never go home. We'll be back!

This Airbnb was an absolute dream! Tucked away in a peaceful, picturesque location, it offered the perfect escape. The space was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches, and the bed was incredibly comfortable—like sleeping on a cloud! The host’s customer service was top-notch, making us feel right at home. We also loved the charming local bar just down the street—great atmosphere, stunning views, and the friendliest locals. We would come back in a heartbeat!

this home is truly a slice of heaven, I’m in all that the owners share it! It has the most magnificent views and a beautiful decks and a little yard to take it all in from. The beds are incredibly comfortable with the softest sheets and the main living area feels like you’re in the harbor everywhere you go. Can’t recommend it enough!

A lovely place in the woods, but minutes from the ocean, and easy access to all the sites along the north coast. Comfortable, spacious, and quiet.

The location, view, and house were incredible! We loved the calm feel and the marvelous view. I should note that finding the house was an adventure, but so worth it when we got there.

Erica was very responsive and provided great instructions. There are other homes around but this property has a privacy fence all of the way around and a gate that opens with code or remote. The home was beautifully decorated and exactly like the photos. The kitchen is well stocked and the hot tub is well maintained and very nice. The walk to the beach was not far but keep in mind that some of the walk across the sand dunes and through the wooded area might be challenging for anyone with health concerns or balance issues. This not a high traffic beach but is beautiful because of the seclusion and is a great place to watch the sunset. Overall recommend this property if staying in the area.

This was the perfect location to visit all the redwoods parks. Right off the highway and easy access to local restaurants and gas. The road getting there from the south is very very rough and we found it much easier to access the Airbnb from the north side. Relaxing and listening to Sea lions in the hot tub after long days hiking was perfect. This was the cleanest Airbnb I've ever stayed in. It is a little small for the price but if we're ever back in Trinidad we'd definitely stay here again.

This stay was easily one of the best views I've ever experienced. We came from San Diego and the home was just as described. The view in the backyard was my favorite, it was so nice that it was fenced off and safe for our young children. The kitchen was amazing, the beds were super comfy, and the bathrooms were great. We would love to stay here again. The backyard view was of the ocean and to the left of the house we would see deer grazing throughout the day. The house was big and clean.

Great location, ocean view from the deck to enjoy a glass of local wine. Very friendly and responsive hosts. The neighborhood is so quiet that you can fall asleep to the sound of the ocean crashing into the rocks. The house was clean and well equipped. Abundant wildlife roaming the streets. We really enjoyed our stay in a hidden gem of Shelter Cove.

The cottage was absolutely beautiful and spacious, the kitchen well equipped, and everything very clean. We enjoyed a stunning sunset in the evening!

I can’t really say enough good things about this stunning place. The view? Like are we watching a TV screen of the most majestic ocean ever or is this the window? The fireplace. The locations. The staff. Legit, book it. Thanks me later. The price is great for what you get. Im a neat freak and Larry left our place spotless. Bottom line— I have stayed all over the world in quite a few hotels and b&bs but this is a place not to be missed. Just dont take the next days I want. 🤣 Happy travels all!

Susan and her sister Ashley's place was perfect for our needs. A friend and I stayed there for a weekend wedding. Parking was easy and convenient when we arrived. The balcony has such a relaxing view of the bay and Old Town Eureka. It provides plenty of opportunities for easily walking around to shops, eateries, and bars. If you're looking for a late night treat the ice cream parlor just downstairs was phenomenal. Cannot recommend this spot enough for anyone looking for a convenient place to stay in the area.

Had an amazing night staying at your place, The Exquisite. Check in was easy after getting cell service. My group, of 4, loved having a working, clean hot tub with a view after getting off the LCT after 4 days. 10/10 will recommend and will definitely keep your place in mind when we plan for our next trip at shelter cove. The place was and the view were better than we expected! such a beautiful spot, clean and a easy walk down the trail to the beach. we will 100% be booking again. 100/10! Simy was super helpful giving us tips and suggestions and responded very fast!

This place is such a gem 💎 🤍 hosts are so responsive and speedy, they reached out a couple days before check in and established contact 🤍 the room is amongst a larger inn but the entire establishment you can tell is well cared for and each room is just as wonderful as the next 🤍 location is amazing - isolated but a great sense of community there is a coffee shop that has delicious drinks and food just steps away from the inn. There are also numerous small restaurants within walking distance and it is worth trying them all 🤍 updated appliances and decorations, very clean and well kept with literally no clutter 🤍 the cove is incredible, beaches are clean and the water is crystal clear, it is a bit on the colder side if you choose to play in the water, otherwise the views alone are spectacular Will be recommending this place to all my friends. Excellent weekend trip and a great place to relax and recharge Thank you so much!

Bob and I took off our hosting hats and put on our traveling hats for this birthday getaway. We love Eureka and have found a new place to put on our favorite list. This Airbnb is everything you would expect from a five star Airbnb. Great location right on the water with beautiful views, secure building, all the amenities inside that you would expect, clean and well appointed… I could go on and on and on. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!
