The building was designed and constructed by the Tokei team, and the team operates it as an inn for many people to use. The distinctive architecture is a redesign of an old townhouse using modern construction methods and traditional materials. This is a small, renovated, 100-year-old earthen storehouse in a town in Ina Valley, Nagano Prefecture, where you can see the two Alps. The inn is run by a married couple who run a design office. It is a space where we designed it ourselves, created the parts we could with our own hands, and explored the possibilities of renovating the warehouse while cultivating the power to create our own lives.
