The Admiral's House, Bere Island

PatriciaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Admiral House was the perfect spot for family getaway on beautiful Bere Island. The house was clean and had every amenity needed including a stroller and high chair for a toddler. Lots to explore on the island and there are 2 local ferries for day trips to Beara Peninsula. The host and her grandma were so kind dropping off Irish bread and a quiche. All in all a lovely visit would highly recommend for a quiet relaxing time.

Tigín Maharees

ElisabethRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We absolutely loved our stay in this cottage! Thomas told us it is over 100 years old and has been in the family the whole time, yet the insides were completely renovated to look like a fashionably modern home with every amenity you could ask for! The kitchen was beautiful, the bunk beds were so adorable, and we were grateful for the washer and dryer! We loved walking the beach, and walking to dinner at Spillane’s. We highly recommend Thomas’ cottage to anyone looking for a quiet beachy cottage just minutes away from town!

Landsdowne Cottage Forest Garden

MeganRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Just got home from a fabulous week long stay at Lansdowne Cottage. The place is beautiful and so well located for day trips throughout the South West of Ireland. Although "off the beaten path" it was easy to find with Claire's directions, the eircode, and the proximity to Beara Camping. Located on the same road as the Uragh Stone Circle and the Gleninchaquin Park, both of which are simply magical and breathtaking sights. Claire and Ashley were very welcoming and checked in several times (they live next door and work in the gardens on the grounds). The house was lovely. We cooked a lot in the wonderful kitchen and appreciated the emphasis on compost and recycling. It was warm enough while we were there that we never used the heating, but it might have taken some practice to understand how to properly utilize the wood fuel system.

Beachfront Harbourview Child friendly family home

CateRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
What makes Donal and Jessica's place so special is it's beautiful at the beginning of the spectacular Slea Head Drive and the view from its picture windows. It is well proportioned and appointed. It suits a family or group of friends travelling together. The eat-in kitchen is fabulous. As the weather was changeable the house's heating operated automatically in the evenings which was a kind touch, as was the provision of sanitary products in the bathroom. The bedrooms were generous and comfortable.

Sound of the Sea with HotTub

JessicaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Absolute must stay!! Marie is so friendly and the place they’ve put together is just perfect and they keep it in tip-top shape. The hot tub is wood fired (so cool!) and relaxing as can be. The location is in a spacious area with cows and horses that you may just see walking onto the beach. 12/10, would stay there again!!

Dunquin Cottage

MariRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Our check-in was bumpy. We didn’t get check-in instructions until after check-in time (and that was after promoting for info the evening before). To check-in, you need to call the local “host”/turnover contact and to let them know when you’ll be picking up the keys from them (down the road from the Airbnb). The owner and main contact doesn’t live in Ireland. We called and the place wasn’t ready. Had to wait 2 hrs and kill time in Dingle where we needed to shop for perishable groceries. We asked if laundry detergent was provided. The owner said there would be if the previous guests hadn’t used it up. That didn’t instill confidence, so we bought laundry detergent, toilet paper and bath soap (and needed all but laundry detergent). Once we checked in, all was smooth and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect for a number of walks and lookout points. And it’s an easy drive to other hikes. Despite the early bumps, we’d love to return again and would highly recommend.

No. 1 The Lodges, Kenmare

CorryRating, 5 stars1 week ago
An upscale stay without an upscale price. Rhona has taken great care with attention to all details including the decor, furniture comfort, bed linen thread counts, kitchen supplies (which is great for people who like to cook when they travel like we do), and thoughtfully selected provisions upon arrival which included Guinness, Irish milk and carrot cake, among other things. We even had a chance to have a meal outside in the rare sun in the beautiful private garden. Top notch stay and communication was great including recommendations for activities and eating out. She even let us know when a road closed that might interfere with travel plans when we left. Highly recommend.

Conor Pass Cottage

ChristopherRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A perfect cottage in a perfect area! The cottage is ideal for anybody looking for a peaceful escape but with still plenty of things to do in the local areas surrounding. We were made to feel welcome from the get go, being greeted upon arrival and given a tour around the cottage with clear instructions on how to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Already looking into our return trip!

Lovely, refurbished cottage in natural surroundings on the Beara Peninsula. We enjoyed a visit to the Buddhist monastery, a cable car trip to Dursey Island, fishing for pollock, home cooking and a movie night at the fireplace, super quiet nights. Sheila and Andy were flexible, lovely and helpful.

House for two. Seaviews. Relax.

StephanieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
What a lovely and tranquil stay. Has a private rocky beach at the end of the road. Very quiet, private and peaceful. Fantastic views. Very clear instructions at check in as this house is a bit remote. Fully stocked kitchen. In the Kerry dark sky area so fantastic star gazing right outside the door. Like most of the area there are limited restaurants so plan accordingly and book reservations for dinner. Cafe at end of street was lovely. Kerry cliffs, skellig tour, and derryane beach are musts when visiting.

Comfy Home in a beautiful part of Dingle Town.

LeahRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Lovely house, spotless, comfortable and homey. Great location, just on the edge of town and only 10-15 minute walk to get into the town centre. Easy to find and right by the distillery. Right on the Slea Head road at the start of the drive out of Dingle to see the stunning coastline.

Charming townhouse off main street Dingle

JillRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This Dingle home was charming and everything you would hope for. Our group of four friends loved this home and did not want to leave Dingle. The hosts went above and beyond in welcoming us with fresh milk and Irish Chocolate. The home was more gorgeous in person, the photos did not do it justice. Thank you for a comfortable wonderful stay with all the creature comforts of home away from home.

The Burrow - Ard Na Mara

EllenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a fantastic time in Dingle. The accommodation was perfectly situated at the end of a cul-de-sac on the edge of the town. An easy walking distance to town (about 15 minutes) but quiet and peaceful and because of the location a fantastic view over the sea. Everything was clean and worked. Good shower, good wifi and anything else you might need. Brian was very responsive and gave us plenty of tips. What I especially liked was all the lovely art, painted by local artists and lot of books about Dingle and Kerry. Dingle is a lovely town with many nice places to eat and drink and many art/crafts shops. I would certainly recommend this accommodation.

Kerry Gem

LindaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
A fantastic family home. So peaceful and quiet with amazing views yet within easy distance of plenty of places to visit. We were three generations (nine of us) and all of us had an awesome time there. There was everything you could ever need and more. The games room with a jukebox kept us all entertained especially when it was raining. There was a well equipped kitchen and lots of space to chill out. The beds were very comfortable and all the bedrooms were big. The main bedroom at the rear had a balcony overlooking the golf course and in the distance you could see the beach and the Atlantic Ocean. We all fell in love with the place and could have stayed forever. It’s definitely a place to return to. In the field next to the property were sheep and lambs. The farmer let our granddaughter bottle feed a couple of lambs. She was thrilled. Dooks Golf Club is five minutes walk down the road and they serve lovely food and you’ll get a warm welcome from the friendly staff.

Our group of four adults had the most relaxing visit. We took long walks, ate in local restaurants, read books around the cozy fireplace, and had plenty of room to spread out. I hope to return in the future. Liz was a great communicator and we are grateful for the opportunity to rent Liz’s lovely home.
