Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Ithaca

Octopus Garden stands out as one of our all time favourite Airbnb locations! Ideal in every way! My son and I felt instantly at home! Agia Effimia is a tranquil, cozy village away from it all, yet Argostoli was an easy drive that we made several times to beauty spots on the other side of Kefalonia. The proximity to Sami was a massive plus, as there are tons of sights and lovely shopping. The house is spacious and had everything that one could possibly need. My son enjoyed having his own bedroom and bathroom. The wash machine was extremely handy. Thank you so much for leaving so many goodies for us. It was nice not to have to run out immediately for supplies and groceries. We didn’t do a lot of cooking, as the restaurants in town were amazing! Amalia and Cafe Fior D’amore were our go-to’s. I will miss doing my yoga on the terrace overlooking the bay and listening and to the morning song. We loved the sweet, black cat who always greeted us and shared our sun spots!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Anna Maria's apartment in Fiskardo. The apartment is clean and beautifully decorated. It is a very calming environment. This is the second time we have stayed here and would certainly come back again. It is simple but elegant and in a fantastic location for exploring Fiskardo. We met Anna Maria (who is lovely!) There are loads of cats in the square ❤️

J'ai absolument adorée cette villa ! Un bel accueil dès notre arrivé ! Il y avait tous et encore plus pour nous recevoir ! Beaucoup d'eau, bière, vin, glace, café ..... Tous était hyper propre ! La vue est extraordinaire avec un piscine de rêve pour observer le lever du soleil ! L'hôte Amalia répond immédiatement à tous vos questions ! N'hésitez pas à reserver cette villa parfaite pour deux ou un couple ! Deux salle de bain privé dans chaque chambre un gros luxe ! Merveilleux ! Merci !!

Fabulous stay at Kia's place. Our kids loved playing at the beach - sandy, gentle slope and much warmer water than other beaches on the island. We loved that the taverna opposite would bring food over for us to eat sat out on the patio after the kids had gone to bed. The house itself was comfortable, even if the kitchen is fairly basic. The garden is beautiful!

Wir waren das erste Mal in Kefalonia und sind von der Insel begeistert. Von der Unterkunft genau so. Sie ist liebevoll eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet. Findet man nicht unbedingt in anderen Unterkünften, wo Teller und Gläser abgezählt sind. Wir waren angenehm überrascht, dass im Kühlschrank nicht nur eine Flasche Wasser, sondern auch selbstgemachte Limonade und Wassermelone zu finden war. Wir durften Orangen vom Baum pflücken und uns Saft pressen. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse hat uns umgehauen. Phantastischer Blick aufs Meer. Wir hatten das Glück Emmanouella Maria‘s Mutter kennenzulernen. Eine wunderbare Frau, die sich mit der Familie um das Anwesen kümmert und uns auch Ausflugs-Tipps gegeben hat. Besonders ihren geliebten Berg Enos im Naturschutzgebiet (1628 m), den man von der Unterkunft aus sehen kann. Der Ausflug war toll, danach sahen wir den Berg mit anderen Augen. Wer den Wunsch nach Ruhe & Entspannung hat, ist hier genau richtig. Aktivitäten schließen sich nicht aus

Communication with the host and check in went very fine. The house is big on a beautiful location. It has two terraces, both really nice and inside you got everything you need. There is a bit noise coming from the road, apart from that all was fine.

5 Stars – Wonderful Stay! We had an amazing experience staying at the cottage! The place was spotless, charming, and exactly as described in the listing. The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, making check-in smooth and stress-free. The location was perfect—close to the sea (you can hear the waves at night). I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like fresh towels, local recommendations, and a well-stocked kitchen. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area! Best air b and b I have stayed at so far!

Wow just incredible!! What an absolutely amazing holiday we had. Katerina Mare is perfectly position at the far end of the beach with the most amazing sea views. There is a little cove just to the left of the villa which we felt like was our own private beach away from the crowds, very quiet, peaceful & relaxing. Loved only having to walk a few steps to cool down in the sea. The accommodation is superbly kept, very clean with air con which is a must & the living space very comfortable. The outdoor area is second to none, we loved it that much we hardly went out, just to eat & drink at the good choice of restaurants & bars that are very close by. Finally we can’t thank Christos enough for being such a brilliant host. We would highly recommend this stunning place for anyone who fancies getting away from it all, an absolute gem!!

What a wonderful experience ! The agent Dimitra was so responsive and the owners Maria and George own the Rotsis bakery up the road. Maria came every morning with fresh omelettes ( mine were shrimp) amazing local yoghurt , warm bread and pastries and fresh espressos. Nothing was too much and we were very spoiled. The location is perfect ! Its own private beach and a two minute walk along the water front to the port and amazing restaurants. Absolutely stunning in every way !!!!! We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay with our 2.5 year old. Location was great for nearby beaches - some within easy walking distance and others walkable but easier in a car if with children. Likewise with restaurants both local and in central argostoli. Katerina was very responsive and friendly, and helpfully shared some recommended beaches/ eateries. Daily housekeeping was very welcome and we enjoyed coming home to this place every afternoon! Highly recommend for Lassi area for a couple or small family happy to share a bedroom

Makis was an absolute Superstar of a host! He even picked us up at the airport when we arrived and left 2 bottles of water and a lovely bottle of Greek wine in the fridge for our arrival. The Veranda suite is immaculate and Makis has thought about every level of detail. It is single handedly the best air B&B we have stayed at. The property is spotlessly clean, modern and tastefully designed. The balcony is massive and has a hot tub with the most stunning views over the bay. The bed is unbelievably comfortable and spacious. The property is located in a very peaceful location and it’s a lovely 10/15 min walk along the shore front into the main square (€7 for a taxi back at the end of the evening). We are already planning to come back next year as we had such a brilliant time!

We had a fantastic holiday, the apartment is just like the pictures. Katerina sent us video instructions for how to open the insect screens, hot water button, how the oven works, etc, and everything worked perfectly as described. There were welcome items such as water, butter and jams in the fridge and there were plenty of towels and extra bedding and pillows. The balcony is the perfect place to watch the sunrise and eat breakfast in the morning sunshine, and in the afternoon/evening there is welcome shade after a day of sightseeing. Argostoli is the perfect location with plenty of restaurants, shops and amenities very close by. We didn’t hire a car but we did use the local bus service frequently and it was very inexpensive and easy to get around. Many thanks for a lovely holiday

This location was what caught my eye to begin researching the island of Kefalonia. It is a little bit if an adventure ti get there from the airport and it was so worth it. The town of Assos is so charming and quaint. We loved the accommodation. It was everything we were looking for in our stay. We drove around ti everything we wanted to see as well as spending a day near.the apartment on the little beach area. We loved Kefalonia and our stay. Check out the nearby restaurants. They are delicious. We ran into Nick while we were out and about. He was so kind and helpful...even buying my husband an ice cream from the mini market. We loved this stay!

Das Einchecken war völlig unkompliziert und freundlich. Wir haben gute Tipps über Essens-jnd Ausflugs-, sowie Bademöglichkriten erhalten. Die Unterkunft war gemütlich. Möglichkeiten für Einkauf, Essen und Kaffee/Bar, waren in der Nähe und zu Fuß erreichbar. Komme gerne wieder.

It's hard to write a review without just repeating everything everyone else has said. It really deserves a five star rating. The balcony is amazing, we spent a lot of time just chilling in that fantastic space looking over the harbour. We needed a taxi from the airport and our host recommended local driver Kosmas, who was punctual, helpful and very kind. The wonderful little bakery 'Strawberry' is a couple of minutes walk for fresh pastries, home made ice cream and coffee. There are plenty of tavernas in walking distance - the whole village in fact is very compact and walkable. I'd also recommend Kefalonia Wine Tour as a wonderful experience with local winemaker Julia, who only takes very small groups into her personal, small family world of co-operative wine making. She also picks you up from Agia Effimia! Thanks so much to our wonderful hosts for a really happy stay and making us feel so welcome.

My daughter and I stayed at Katerinas studio apartment on our tour of Kefalonia. We have very special memories, the setting & gardens so beautiful & peaceful. The delightful village of Spartia with cafe/restaurant/shops was 10mins walk uphill and the pretty local beach the same downhill. Pesada Beach was amazing and a few mins drive away. What made out stay even more special was Katerina's warm hospitality throughout. It was like nothing we'd experienced. Starting from helping us find the apartment as we were not the best at following instructions (our fault!). She sent her lovely daughter Angela to meet us in her car. We were shown around our tastefully decorated & comfortable studio and were amazed to be given so such a generous welcome hamper which kept us going our whole stay! If that was not enough Katerinas husband cooked us a beautiful Greek stew as a welcome meal. We LOVED the gift shop run by Angela - lovely handmade items to bring home. Thank you for a perfect holiday!! Xx

Perfect place to stay while visiting Argostoli. Plenty of parking available (in May) and everything in town is accessible by foot (cafés, restaurants, markets etc). The place was really clean and comfortable. Kitchen filled with everything one may need. We got a warm welcome and host was available anytime.

Beautiful studio, fully equipped and comfortable. I loved the location: it’s a bit on the edge of the village and very peaceful, but you can walk to the restaurants and supermarkets. Amazing sunrises over the sea from the balcony. I’ll come back here next time I’m in kephalonia. Warmly recommended!

We spent a wonderful few days at Eagles Nest. The location is amazing, backed by magnificent mountains and overlooking sea views. The apartment was clean and comfortable and the pool was heavenly, a very peaceful place to relax and cool down with the sounds of nature all around you. Marina was everything you could ask for in a host, friendly and welcoming and always there to help if needed. Thankyou Marina, we loved our stay in Kefalonia, we’ll definitely be back!

What a wonderful, tranquil place, Villa Rosa is! The gardens are tidy, and well kept and so colourful! As has already been said, “what’s not to like?!!” Joy and her team, made you feel that nothing was too much trouble for them, when it came to answering your every whim! And they were always smiling, and never made you feel that you were in the way. The location is superb, and because it’s away from main roads, it’s very quiet. It’s near the sea, and a 7 minute walk from the beach at Trapezaki, and Denis Taverna. A Hire car is a must as there’s so much to see. Now for the breakfast menu, wow! There was a variety of options for breakfast, and all food was cooked to perfection! Joy was willing to accommodate our unusual dietary limitations, too! And on to cleanliness, in a word, spotless!! The cleaning lady went in every day so there was no chance that dirt or sand could accumulate on the floor! The linen and towels were replaced with fresh, every third day, so everything smelled clean!

La casa di George si è rivelata essere tutto quello che prometteva e anche di più! Posizione comodissima, letteralmente a due passi sia dal centro che dal lungomare, ma nonostante questo tranquilla e con numerosi posti auto a bordo strada nei paraggi. L'abitazione era pulita, ordinata e ha saputo rispondere a qualsiasi nostra esigenza per tutte le otto notti del nostro soggiorno. George, l'host, meriterebbe un capitolo a parte! Gentilissimo, super disponibile, i suoi consigli sui luoghi e le spiagge da visitare, uniti a quelli logistici sul dove mangiare, fare la spesa, ecc.. hanno davvero contribuito alla perfetta riuscita della nostra vacanza! Le sue informazioni sui giorni di arrivo delle navi da crociera nel porto di Argostoli si sono rivelate fondamentali per la nostra organizzazione del "quando andare dove" permettendoci di goderci al meglio le bellezze dell'isola. A very cosy place indeed,Manolis and Mum are so nice and kind. I suffer from a bad back ,and I told Manolis that the mattress didn’t suit me: he bought a brand new one, and it was installed within a couple of hours.Amazing response. It was delightful sitting in the pretty garden watching the butterflies fluttering in the bougainvillea. So peaceful . We were invited to pick oranges from the garden: wow what lovely juice they made!! We were invite to pick oranges

Apartment extremely cleaned, easy check in and very good communication. I just would suggest put some more pillows, but definitely I will come back!
