Wheatlands Country House on historic Karoo farm

Wheatlands is a magical place! Experience the comfort and luxury of Wheatlands Country House which sleeps 10 guests in 5 spacious bedrooms. Built in 1912 this historic home boasts high, pressed ceilings, wood panelled walls, beautiful handcrafted stained glass windows, book lined corridors and antiques that have been collected through generations. We are a working wool and mohair producing Karoo farm in the heart of the Eastern Cape, situated 50 km south of the attractive town of Graaff-Reinet.

Fisherman's Cottage in the beautiful Karoo

Situated on the R400 dirt road between Jansenville and Somerset East, this cottage is the ideal getaway from the city. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you! The cottage is pet friendly and self-catering. There is no WiFi but there is cell reception. Some activities to keep you busy during your stay on the farm include: fishing, walking, bird viewing and cycling. The cottage is situated next to a dam. R300 PER PERSON PER NIGHT Children under 4 stay for free.

Copper Moon Game Farm is situated on the northern border of Addo Elephant National Park south of Somerset East in the Eastern Cape in a malaria free area. It comprises 8 500 ha of mixed Karoo veld with rolling hills, dense valley bush, montane grass and fynbos in the deep valleys of the Zuurberg. Air-conditioned, self catering apartments and with private entrances. All units are star graded and has Fibre internet Wi-Fi, DSTV and secure parking on site. Most units have their own washing machines. Conveniently 200m walk from restaurants and business centre with the most beautiful mountain views and park like garden. Vehicle entrance are within walking- or cycling distance to the mountain, heritage walk, museums, golf course and hiking/cycling trails.

Avoca River Cabins

Each riverside semi-detached unit has an open plan living/sleeping area and partly closed loft room. The thatch roof unit sleeps 4 people. It has 2 x single beds on the ground floor plus the first floor loft room has two beds and is accessible by staircase. Bedding and towels provided! The unit has a private shower / toilet. There is a private kitchenette and barbeque. These Semi detached units are charged at R1100 per unit per night (excluding breakfast).
