As the valley became more residential the cottage has been nicely converted to a comfortable indoor/outdoor living space. Pasture and farm still abound and mix with wildlife and recreation. Olympic National Park and Forest just to the south. Strait of Juan de Fuca and Dungeness Recreation Area to the north. Pacific Ocean to the west and Hood Canal and Seattle to the east.

The Bit & Bridle Cabin has that out-in-the-country feel, yet it is only minutes from Oak Harbor's town center. This small 17 acres farm provides Donna's horses room to play and live and Stan's Autobody & Paint Shop a place to thrive. Other buildings besides the Cabin and the owners' house are a covered riding arena, Stan Wingate's shop, a "Fowl Manor" and run, and a small family residence. Ten beautiful old apple trees are scattered around. The Cabin is next to one of the apple orchards.

Explore the Olympic Peninsula while staying in our bijoux tiny house nestled in the lush rain forest at Millie's Gulch. Sip your coffee (or wine!) listening to chattering birds and frogs. Grill a steak on the BBQ, light a fire in the pit and watch the stars peak out from behind the forest canopy. Read, relax, drive around to the local port towns or just do nothing - that's how we planned it. Small pets welcome - but please check with us before booking.
