Holiday rentals in Jewell Island

What a fabulous place to stay in the lower part of Maine. It's a wonderful area to explore, and also a great place to launch a trip further up into this gorgeous state, or end your time in Maine as you head south. Within a mile or so, you are on the interstate and on your way. This accommodation was everything pictured, and then some. The bed was super comfortable, everything was spotless, the shower was roomy and had excellent pressure, the coffee bar was right outside the bedroom and included a big fridge with half and half and an invitation to store your food if needed. Above and beyond hospitality was extended at every turn. I can't remember all the perks, but the ability to do laundry, and an offer to build a fire in fireplace were two of them. The garden area is lovely. I doubt there are any affordable hotels in this area, which really makes the ability to stay here something to be thankful for. Everyone needs to be good guests so that they continue to be hosts!!!!

great location for freeport in being close to everything yet out of the business of the town on a well kept lot . guest house itself shaded by trees has the calm feeling sometimes missing in a lot of southern maine especially in the summer season . also good for guests with dogs as there is a wonderful dog walking path just up the street .

We had a wonderful stay at Gail's place. Very peaceful and relaxing space. At Gail's suggestion we walked to a local noodle bar and had a fantastic dinner! Gail was warmly welcoming and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with her!

Exceeded expectations! The location is ideally located near Cousins Island and Yarmouth. Super clean, and relaxing. I loved the balcony that overlooks a gorgeous wooded view. The kitchen is well appointed. We were in town for a family grad party, and my son enjoyed the proximity to the bike path for a scenic run to the island. We were fortunate enough to meet Luna and Denis, who was very helpful with local recommendations. The location is very private and easy to get to. The check in process is clear and easy. The beds are clean and very comfortable. We look forward to returning.

Fantastic stay this past weekend. Easy to find and flexible with check in. I got there an hour earlier than expected and it was no problem for me to go in early. Felt safe being a solo traveller. The views were insane! So so peaceful. Some considerations: Some outdoor comfortable seating would've been great. I could not lock anything because the locks of the sliders wouldn't open/close with the keys-I was afraid I would break a key off. So left wide open during the day. The couch, comfy, but stained. Only 2 towels were left-more would've been appreciated. I was freezing! So glad I brought an extra blanket. Leaky sink in kitchen. ZERO I mean ZERO water pressure-awful! Service is spotty in the area but the wifi was a big help. The price, views, communication, and flexibility cancels out any flaws of this place. With some TLC this place would be flawless. Thank you!

Jane and Rick's place was wonderful - immediately felt like home! Really friendly and hospitable couple. The place is much bigger than the photos suggest. The deck on the water is a dream come true. Would love to stay again!

Out stay was absolutely perfect! Lydia and Charlie were great with communication and answering any questions we had. The pictures do not so it justice, it is even better than we thought it would be!! The beds were very comfortable, the house was well stocked with anything we could have needed, and they had a pack and play for our toddler to sleep in. We loved taking walks around the neighborhood and exploring the beach with our children. We would give this place a 100/100 if we could!

Grace Cottage was the absolute PERFECT house for our visit to Long Island, ME. The cottage was exactly as described and even better in person. We had everything we could have possibly needed and then some, and everything was very clean and tidy upon our arrival. Steven was very responsive, as well as helpful and informative in all of our communications. Lorinda was also such a wonderful help to us in getting us to the property and making sure we had everything we needed once we arrived! Highly recommend the golf cart rental as there's really no need for a car on the island. We loved visiting the local Bakehouse to eat, the Boat House variety store for basic essentials, and the stunning local beaches - everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Overall it was an outstanding and incredibly memorable experience, and we can't thank Steven and Lorinda enough for being so accommodating. This cottage is a must-stay and we will definitely be coming back!
