Langwell Bothy has two rooms with vestibule entrance where modest coffee/tea bar is set up. There is a microwave, kettle, toaster and small refrigerator, including a sink, NO COOKER. Main bedroom has view over to Hoy island. The second room has a double bed/couch. (If 2 guests & need 2 beds, please message this) There is a shower room/toilet/sink (wet room) accessible only from the second room. The second room has two views over looking the main house garden and views towards Stromness.

We have big skies here, stunning sea views across the Pentland Firth to Orkney (and Isle of Hoy) and along the north coast to Dunnet Head. If you enjoy stargazing you’ll love it here on clear nights as there is no light pollution - and if you’re staying in winter you may be lucky enough to see the northern lights.

Large windows drink in the seascape and ever-changing views of skies and sunrises. The country gardens are a real feature of the cottage, attracting many species, including goldfinch, curlews, oyster catchers, osprey and red kite are seen close by. Surrounded by nature. A short walk down to the secluded sandy bay of Dornoch Sands.
