Excellent place to stay when visiting Mishima or Numazu. Great host as well very helpful.

Airi was very friendly and helpful, we stayed at her apartment, which was lovely and had a beautiful view of the sea. The surroundings were spectacular but maybe were bit difficult to move by foot, but there were busses that connected to shimoda station.

This was an excellent stay for our family. The home was clean and comfortable, and had a well stocked kitchen. Easy walk from the train station with a good handful of restaurants nearby and a wonderful view of the ocean from the kitchen windows. The hosts were always friendly, helpful, and responsive. Usami is a lovely, quiet little town, and the train station makes other attractions in the area fairly accessible. Staying here was a very special experience, and I recommend it for anyone who wants to take it slow for a few days.

This was the best host I have EVER stayed with. Picked me up from the station and brought me home. Drove me back after check out. Had free bike rentals. All this saved me money, time, and hassle. Then during the day I got a flat tire on the bicycle and he came and picked me up! Asked if I was okay and gave me another bicycle. I was thinking he would be upset I messed up the bike. Went above and beyond in every aspect and was the best host you could ask for. Very kind and non transactional with his help. 100 out of 10 stars.

Great place to stay right next to the train station. Beautiful views of Fuji right out the window. Many shops, cafes, restaurants, and points of interest within a few minutes walk. Stayed for two nights with my family and we had no issues at all. Don’t miss the Forest Music Museum!

The place itself is spotless, modern, and very well-maintained, with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. What really made the experience special was Natori—she is extremely friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Her hospitality truly made us feel at home. I stayed here for a month while working in Tokyo — I only needed to be most central a few days a week, so was happy to be based in a smaller, more local neighbourhood for the majority of my time. There's everything I needed locally, & Tachikawa was nearby for more hardcore shopping. The nearest train stations are quite a walk away, so I wouldn't recommend it if you plan to commute far or want to be elsewhere most days. The flat itself is very well kept & furnished with nice gadgets to make daily life comfortable (e.g. electric blanket .. lifesaver). The host was kind, responsive & helpful — I knew that if I needed anything, she would help. I felt looked after & also had privacy. The internet worked well, the bathroom great. There was everything I needed to cook most meals in the kitchen. Supermarkets 10-15 mins walk away. Gym & library 15-20 mins away. I hope to return to Kunitachi next time I'm working in the city.

Very good accommodation that perfectly matched the description. The bedding and bed are of very high quality, worthy of a hotel, which is rare, the shower is very spacious and pleasant. The accommodation is very well equipped, and ideal for 4 people. The instructions were clear and very good communication with the host. I recommend it without hesitating!

We stayed in the apartment and it was perfect. Spacious for our family of 4. Nice comfortable beds. Make sure you use the hot bath. The town is small so everything is within walking distance. The train, bus and cable stations are 3 blocks away. Nice restaurants specially Coffee camp. All was delicious. Would 100% stay here again.

Although the exact location is slightly far from major downtown areas, it is easy to travel. The room was very clean, had many amenities, and they were very clear with communication and expectations. Would recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay and found it a very relaxing space. The house works well and kitchen is good for anyone planning to cook. Others have commented there is the noise of trains passing but it didn’t bother us. We really enjoyed some walks from the house into the local hills behind. Good host who was very responsive and helpful dealing with any questions / queries and local recommendations. Would recommend.

Everything was within walking or biking distance, and the area was truly beautiful. The garden was also very charming and added to the relaxing atmosphere. Communication with the host was easy and we always received quick responses. I definitely recommend staying here!

In the spacious and open living room, we were able to spend a comfortable time even with 10 or more people. The kitchen was also spacious, and there was a BBQ space with a roof, so we could enjoy it even on rainy days. Also, all the rooms were clean and well cleaned, and I felt good.

The condo is located right off the main drag and directly across from a semi-private cove of one of the best beaches in Shimoda! The photos are true to life, the place was in pristine condition, all appliances worked out perfectly, and the bedding was super comfortable! Cheryl is a great hostess! The one thing we wish we could have changed was the weather, as it was misty and windy during our stay, and then of course, the sun popped out the day we had to leave :( Hoping we can get a do-over and land Cheryl's place again some day!

My stay was very nice and cozy though the condo building felt quiet. Rei has great taste in design and furnishing to make her guests feel at home. Recommend to drive here so that you could explore around freely.

It's so nice to stay quiet There's also a nearby proximity and Aeon Mall, so it's the best.

Yoko’s place is great for couples and small families. We brought our dog and he loves the place too. Her place is convenient placed near some famous Hakone spots, making it easy to navigate around town.

This is a truly wonderful place to stay—surrounded by nature and filled with an incredible sense of peace, accompanied by the gentle sound of birds and a flowing river. Honestly, the photos don’t do it justice; the property is even more beautiful in person, and I’m so glad we chose it. Eriko was a fantastic host, always attentive and thoughtful. We walked to an onsen just 10 minutes away, which was an amazing experience. The private onsen on the property was perfect for my little girls (5 and 7 years old), and enjoying breakfast on the balcony with the sound of the river in the background felt absolutely magical. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again the next time we visit Hakone.
