This small (200 sq ft + 80 sq ft sleeping loft), Adirondack style cabin was completely refurbished this past year using locally sourced woods and built by hand. Located two miles from downtown Keene Valley, and at 1800 feet, this is an ideal place for those who prefer the quiet forest, the peaceful sound of a mountain brook, and possibily seeing animals.

The High Peaks Artist’s loft is a converted mechanics shop located conveniently right in Keene. The space has been decorated by two artists and includes original paintings and decorations. This is a generous studio space with a well-equipped kitchenette, bathroom with a shower, pool table, lounge area and large projection screen. When you are ready to turn in for the night, we hope you will enjoy the newly created sleeping loft. If the weather is nice there is also a fire pit for you to use!

The view of Marcy is amazing. The sound of the brook below is magical. The short walk to one of the main trailheads in the high peaks is a sought-after plus, given the dearth of parking there. Hikers feel at home amidst the mountaineering history reflected in the books and in the photos and paintings on the walls. The cabin is eco-friendly throughout: organic sheets and towels, wool blankets, wool rugs (except one), green soaps and cleaning products, mini-splits, energy-saving lighting.

This basic cabin is centrally located on Rt 73 close to climbing cliffs and trailheads. With a private setting in the woods it offers a great base for your Adirondack adventures. Please note that this accommodation will be a „GLAMPING“ experience. The cabin is situated in the woods and is not impervious to the outdoors. Although the cabin is regularly cleaned thoroughly there will be the occasional bug or spider crawling along minding its own business.

Brookside Cabin in the Woods

Loved the Brookside Cabin… it was cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated/appointed . It fit the needs of 2 people and 2 dogs for our 4 day winter holiday. Our dogs enjoyed the wooded property and exploring John’s Brook. It was covered in snow & ice - very scenic. The Caretaker “Dave” was extremely responsive when the heat unfortunately failed on a bitterly cold Sunday. He brought 3 electric heaters to keep us comfortable and arranged for visits from a heating company to fix the problem - which was done. Lana- the rental property manager -called everyday to be sure we were well taken care of as well. Can’t say enough good things - will definitely return and recommend to others.

Annette and Michael are the absolute best! They’ve clearly put considerable thought into creating spaces that are comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. They care about your experience and know how to make you feel right at home. Best of all, they’re wonderful conversationalists who genuinely enjoy getting to know their guests. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay with them again.

Loved my stay at Emily’s place. Lots of windows facing the woods, so I got to see deer, groundhogs, chipmunks, and birds from my comfy surroundings. In addition to the hot tub and sauna, there’s a little manmade pond teeming with tadpoles and other aquatic critters. Didn’t need bug spray, but she had thoughtfully provided some. The Airbnb and owner’s home are situated on a mountain with a 3-mile hiking trail to the summit. (I drove to the trailhead; it felt like a couple miles.) The place is secluded but close to town. Perfect for my solo trip!

Brooke’s listing is better than images and description and was exactly the romantic weekend getaway we needed. peaceful and private location, incredibly clean and beautifully furnished. The cabin was beautiful and peaceful . The area is so beautiful with the woods. Only 15 minutes away is a town with many good restaurants and a lake. There are many hiking trails. We went for a peaceful weekend to just be together and relax . It could not have been more perfect. The host left many special touches.
