Guest house holiday rentals in Kent

This was our third stay in this cottage and it did not disappoint. The location is great for old town Margate (which is our favourite part) and really close to the beach. The cottage is roomy, and includes everything you need. Thank you for hosting us!

Stayed here several times before and another visit planned which speaks for itself . Always immaculate accommodation with a warm welcome . Very comfortable bed . Lovely location . Great areas to walk with Supermarket and Pub close by.

Just a lovely little sanctuary …. Beautifully decorated and just right to use as base in lovely part of the country … garden lovely n secure for dogs ( so that helps with the ‘chillaxing’!!! 😊😊

Peaceful location and gardens, v cosy little place. We enjoyed relaxing in the garden, visiting the village and nearby areas; the reservoir, Sissinghurst and Hastings. James and Sarah were very responsive to our questions and requests.

I have stayed with Elizabeth several times before and as always she is a welcoming host, any little problems and she is quick to deal with them. The property is quirky, with slopping roof, kitchen has a combination cooker and airfryer. Fresh eggs are supplied from the free range chickens and ducks. It is in the countryside and at places the roads are single carriage way with passing places, so no rally racing.

We loved our stay at Penella's place and would definitely use it again. We went in order to visit Rye which is beautiful but busy, and Penella's place is incredibly peaceful with the real benefit of onsite parking. There are amazing views and we particularly enjoyed watching some beautiful sunrises from bed! The Plough (a 5 minute walk) does delicious food and our top tip for Rye is the Kino independent cinema. It shows recent film releases viewed from arm chair seating with a stylish cafe/ bar as well.

Had a lovely stay here. Beautiful setting with a secluded terrace perfect for watching the sunset. Super cosy annexe which was well equipped. Thank you very much for all of Aileen’s recommendations - we managed to see a lot over 2/3 days including Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate

Wonderful stay in this charming accommodation. All very comfortable. James was an exceptional host. Very friendly and extremely helpful even lending a tie for the wedding we were attending when my husband realised he’d left his at home. Can’t thank you enough. Highly recommend. Thank you very much

It’s all been said before but… it was beautifully presented (top quality fittings, furniture etc), everything thought through for convenience and leisure… it’s like walking through the door to a warm hug! Also the bathroom is luxurious - have stayed in a few nice hotels but never had a roll-top bath ‘experience’ as good as here! The little outdoor area is an absolute haven and looks onto beautiful rolling fields (view that can also be enjoyed from the sofa if it’s drizzly). We were visiting family but I would have been happy to have spent a more time at the property relaxing with a good book etc. Can’t recommend highly enough - Joanna works very hard, but makes it look easy by being so relaxed and welcoming in her manner.

Fabulous location overlooking fields and hills of the High Weald. The accommodation is highly attractive and well equipped for a holiday home. Diana is keen to ensure that everything works to the satisfaction of her guests. Nice local pub - the Woodcock Inn and a Waitrose and Tesco about 10 minutes drive away. Loads to see and do in the area, especially gardens and castles. Would certainly return.

Stayed before, will stay again. A lovely little apartment within a 10 min walk to the local beach and some lovely views. Apartment spotless, well laid out and has a lovely courtyard to enjoy the sun and cool evenings.

Lovely, quality accommodation in a beautiful setting. Caroline is a great host and we loved our stay. The view is breathtaking and relaxing and eating on the patio was a delight. So many interesting places to see in a relatively short drive. We would love to stay again. Thank you.

We had a lovely stay at Caroline’s. The Granary was very comfortable with everything you need. Beds were super comfortable with lovely linen. 2 minutes walk away was The Carpenters Arms pub where we ate a couple of times & the food was delicious. Bus stop was next to the pub which went to Whitstable. The Granary is very convenient for lovely country walks. Would recommend

Nicky’s place is very clean and comfy. Nicky is friendly and helpful. We had a good time staying there. We would be very happy to stay at Nick’y place if we visit the area and need somewhere to stay.

We stayed at Gabrielle's converted barn a few weeks ago and in a word... amazing. The venue was immaculate and perfect for our family of 5. The kids loved the cottage and utilised the field one of the evenings. Gabrielle's husband (never got his name!) was helpful and gave directions to some places in the locality as well as being very happy to show us the field connecting to the garden. A small mention of their kids who were fantastically mannered! If there was one complaint... it would be that this venue is undersold! The green space and reservoirs are beautiful. It's truly a gem and we will be hoping to stay again soon!!!

Perfect location for what we needed. Conveniently situated opposite a lovely pub with excellent food. Looking forward to returning next year.

From the moment we arrived, this Airbnb exceeded our expectations in every way. The space is beautifully styled — a perfect blend of modern comfort and cozy charm. The Hosts were wonderful and made us feel completely at home, even leaving a few personal touches that made the experience feel extra special. We had a wonderful stay & were made to feel welcome & comfortable. Bread, milk, granola & marmalade were lovely touches. Lovely furnishes, kitchen & bathroom. Our 2 dogs were very welcome aswell, stunning walks as soon as you open the stable style door, fantastic scenery & farm land. We visited the Rose & Crown twice for yummy food with excellent service & dog friendly. For us this was the perfect stay, thank you xx

Eve was a lovely host and her cottage was exactly what we needed for our New Year getaway. The fireplace and heaters ensured it was always cozy, and the property was located a stone’s throw from the beaches and train station too. We would 100% come back and stay again. Thank you to Eve and her adorable dog Moon!

Lovely stay in a beautiful rural area. Checking in was easy, our host was super communicative and the guest house was spotlessly clean and felt both cosy and modern. Only slight downside: it happened to be an extremely hot (31C) weekend and the place has a bit of a greenhouse effect during the day, with two unshaded, sealed skylights, and hot air gathering under the high ceiling. However, our thoughtful host had opened lower windows in advance and found us a fan on request, so the heat was manageable in the end. In any case, heat was much better than rain! All in all, a great stay!

A perfect little studio with the most amazing view. Secluded and private, but also walkable to the local pub and shop. Great running routes nearby and so close to Maidstone if you need anything more. Highly recommended!

Superb!! That really sums it up. Clean, comfortable, all amenities new , great view. Hosts went out of their way to provide nibbles and wine and drinks. Didnt feel like a rental felt like a home!! One of the best holiday rents ever
