House holiday rentals in Kent

We enjoyed a 3 day mini break at the Calf Shed cottage with our 2 children and dog. The cottage itself was nice with open plan kitchen and comfy seating area, and a private garden area which was great for the kids and dog. A big bonus was the heated pool with stunning views. The weather was not great but the heated pool meant we could still use it, which is a short walk from the cottage. The kids also enjoyed the trampoline and table tennis. The main barn was not rented during our stay which meant we had sole use of the pool and play equipment. There was no welcome pack/booklet however the host Alison was quick to respond to questions (wifi password, bin locations, etc). Other comments is the double bed was actually 2 single beds which the kids commandeered and signs of wear and tear here and there. However overall a pleasant trip.

We absolutely loved our stay and will be booking again. The space was clean, warm and very spacious up and downstairs. The design and decor was on another level. We couldn’t get over the beautiful chandelier. We were greeted with fruits and milk on arrival in the large kitchen. Ahead of our journey we were given clear directions to the property. Access was easy and there were clear instructions for the sauna, pool etc. We used the sauna daily. It’s was huge and looked brand new. We were be able to watch the kids swim in the pool from the sauna. The kids absolutely loved the pool and took every opportunity day and night to swim. It really was a bonus to have our own pool. 5 of us stayed for a week and there was enough space in the fridge and freezer for all of our food. I have already recommended the space to my friends.

We had a wonderful (albeit brief) stay at Jane’s beautiful home! The space was spotless, stylish, and so comfortable—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The pool was a real highlight, and we’re already looking forward to coming back and making the most of it next time. Unfortunately, we had to leave earlier than planned due to personal reasons, but Jane was incredibly understanding and kind about our situation. She was a fantastic host throughout—thoughtful, responsive, and welcoming. A special thank you for the delicious-looking marmalade waiting for us on arrival! We can’t wait to enjoy it at breakfast. Highly recommend Jane’s place for anyone looking for a peaceful and lovely escape. We hope to return soon!

The place was clean and tidy. Everything we needed was there and we had complimentary small bottle of milk. Would definitely go back. We went to Canterbury through the bus at the entrance of the camp. Great weekend away

Trinity Cottage is such a lovely place to stay! The amenities are luxurious from the bed linen to the sofas to the jacuzzi bath. The pool is fantastic and a lovely area to be around and the wild meadow was loved by our kids and dog. They enjoyed running round it so much! For a young family with a dog it was such an idyllic, quiet and private stay and a great base to visit some of the sites across Kent!

We were very impressed on arrival. Lovely peaceful grounds, pool bigger than we’d expected and great games area. Good place to stay with our extended family, good central location, really enjoyed nearby Canterbury. We were lucky with the weather. We visited Howletts zoo & 2 different sea-sides. The house is quite warm, it’s great fans are provided in all bedrooms. Improvements- Need better extraction for the kitchen- & update the book on what to do if the smoke alarm goes off! The agency were quick to help but with poor phone signal this was tricky to arrange. Bigger beds/ new mattresses Downstairs loo had no toilet lid Other reviews mentioned cobwebs & the place seeming a bit ‘tired’, I’d agree with some of that but it didn’t stop us having a wonderful time & a few cobwebs don’t bother me, everything else was clean and we’d love to return .

This was our second visit to the Lighthouse and it still is an amazing place, from the panoramic sea views to a lovely warm inviting home. A dip in the pool before breakfast, sitting with a coffee watching the seascape, as far as Essex and beyond, sunsets and so much more. I will make the same comment as I did last, this goes for the whole of our party across 3 generations and the dogs, the only bad thing about the Lighthouse is having to leave. Hopefully this will not be our last visit.

This house has absolutely everything you could ever want or need. Swimming pool is great and heated to a perfect temp for the kids. House is enormous and every little thing seems to have been thought of by the hosts including extras such as dressing gowns for all guests, soap, shampoo and a hairdryer in every room. Location is right on the coast with great views out the front of the sea. Garden is lovely. Would recommend to anyone. Thanks Alan and Bill

This is without doubt the most stunning place I have ever stayed in through Airbnb. The cottage has recently been renovated to an extremely high standard and every detail is perfect and has been carefully thought through. It is comfortable and luxurious but still homely and stocked with everything you need for a home from home stay! It is also in a fantastic location - only a 2 minute walk to the seafront and the town centre. I could not recommend it more highly. Belinda was also extremely helpful and welcoming and very responsive to messages. 11/10! We will definitely be back! thank you Belinda and Thierry.

My husband, toddler and I had a wonderful stay here. Well presented property - accurate photos, immaculately clean, fully equipped kitchen and very comfortable. The area was quiet and peaceful, with shops within short walking distance. Parking spot was a great help! George was very helpful and quick to respond. Would stay again, whenever in the area!

such a lovely little cottage, it was absolutely perfect for us, we were staying for my wife's graduation, and it was a short walk away. Simon and Philippa were extremely friendly and very helpful, amazing hosts. we definitely hope to return again to stay in the near future 😁

We had a wonderful stay at Lorna's house. The views were fantastic, and the home was well-equipped, making it perfect for our family getaway. The welcome basket was a thoughtful touch! Lorna was a very helpful and responsive host, and the location between Herne Bay and Whitstable was ideal. We'd happily return and highly recommend this lovely seaside retreat.

Our trip was perfect. The accommodation is spotless, well looked after and really modern. It has absolutely everything you need and all the small details have been thought of. It is in a beautiful and quiet location and the hot tub was lovely. Communication with the host was perfect - instructions were super clear and included helpful videos. We were even offered late check out which was so appreciated. Would absolutely recommend and we’d love to come back.

We spent 5 nights at Debra’s beautiful home in Tankerton over my daughter’s half term holiday. It was exactly what we needed - a home away from home. The perfect space for her to study and relax together, while allowing me to catch up with friends and explore Tankerton, Whitstable and all the lovely restaurants and shops. Thank you so much Debra, I hope we’ll be back.

We had such a special time staying here for our anniversary, it was in such a beautiful location that was perfect for a peaceful getaway, the hot tub located in a lit up clearing surrounded by woodland was incredible and the cabin itself was a pleasure to stay in, a modern but natural feeling that smelled incredible! A perfect place for a weekend away. The space was immaculate and thoughtfully decorated, every little detail carefully considered to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere such as the beautiful fireplace located in the living room. Is you’re truly looking for a peaceful getaway where you can unwind and reconnect with nature, look no further. The host- demonstrated excellent communication and was very respectful, helpful and kind throughout our stay.

Kathy's bungalow is absolutely amazing. Such a peaceful retreat and just what we needed as a break from our busy lives. Kathy is a brilliant host, responsive and providing lots of useful information. The gardens are beautiful and the bungalow is spacious, clean and well equipped. I just wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you Kathy, we will be back.

Astrid’s is a beautiful and stylish house in a lovely rural setting, perfect for our getaway visiting the gardens of Great Dixter, Sissinghurst, Charleston, Dungeness and Rye. We had a lovely stay and would certainly recommend. Did not try the swimming pond but appreciated the wildlife on the doorstep.

We had a lovely time staying in this charming cottage which. The rooms were very comfortable and It was very peaceful at night with a lovely view from the beautiful garden to watch dusk approach. There is an old local pub four doors down which serves very good food. There was a folder left on the kitchen side of the many places of interest to go and visit especially for families. We had a fabulous time and wouldn’t hesitate recommending a stay here.

The House was perfect for a relaxing weekend of family time. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked with all the equipment we needed for a large family that enjoys cooking, eating, and drinking well. We felt right at home and had a very special, relaxing and fun few days.

Spent 6 pleasant days at Littleshaw Cottage. Although we went in June the evenings were chilly but the underfloor heating in the cottage kept us warm. All the things we needed, and more, for a comfortable stay were provided. We felt very secure in the cottage as it is in the private grounds of the main house behind a gated driveway. This was our first visit to Kent and there is so much to see. If we returned for another holiday we would like to stay here again.

Superb house with an unbeatable view on the beach and sea. Very good floorplan with entrance/utility/storage on ground floor without a view, bedrooms on middle level and kitchen/dining/living area on the top floor with the view. Georgina was a great host, very responsive and the welcome basket was a hit! It was a great stay for 4 adults, two children and a dog, with plenty of space and the amazing ease of getting to the beach in seconds.

A lovely stay at Phil & Emma's house in West Malling, highly recommended - we used it as a base to visit Leeds Castle over the bank holiday weekend with our children. Phil was really helpful, and made it easy for us to arrive and get settled quickly. The house is picture perfect in a lovely setting in West Malling with loads of great restaurants, pubs, cafes and coffee shops. I don't think I'll have a better Sunday roast than at the Swan! Highly recommended

Thank you Tiffany! We had such a nice stay for our anniversary, host couldn’t have been more lovely and accommodating. Such a stunning home we took inspiration from her decor for our home! We stayed in playing battleship that was provided and cooked dinner in the kitchen with the tv on. 10/10 can’t fault. Will definitely be coming back xxx

Beautiful place, with amazing views. Quiet and well equipped. We slept well, had wonderful walks along the beach with unspoiled views. The Snack Shark was a gem, we had delicious and fresh seafood for lunch. Also bought some scallops, potatos, asparagus and local pear juice for dinner. The host even provided fresh milk, flowers and grapes, well received upon our arrival. Thank you for a lovely stay.
