This was a great base for exploring the Cradle Mountain area and surrounds. The kids were excited for this stop on our trip for the pool and it did not disappoint, a great highlight with a stunning view of Mt Roland sparkling at sunset. John was wonderful with suggestions of how to enjoy the property including helping with platypus spotting and accessing the silver mine. A great spot for families with so much to enjoy 😉

The cabin is set in a beautiful location, surrounded by bush and the impressive Mt Roland. We felt very comfortable in the lovely surroundings and also enjoyed a swim in the indoor pool. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Georgeous farm and wonderfully simple cottage with a wood burner and lovely atmosphere which was private , yet with great walks around the farm . There is an amazing walk close by to a viewing platform overlooking a magnificent gorge. Perfect for visiting Cradle mountain as it’s only about 1.25 hrs drive.

We had such a lovely stay here. The accommodation was cosy and comfortable, set against the most beautiful mountain backdrop. Waking up to the view with sheep grazing and chickens wandering nearby was such a peaceful experience. Eileen was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we were so touched by the thoughtful gestures, like the complimentary hamper and fresh free-range eggs. It really made us feel at home. A truly memorable stay and highly recommended. Thank you Eileen & Simon! ☺️

If you're looking for a place to breathe, relax, contemplate, reflect, play, chat and spend quality time with family and friends, Eagles Nest 2 is perfect. With Mt Roland and a big wide sky as the grand backdrop view from all angles of the house, and with cathedral height windows celebrating every inch of the view, being inside and outside feels seamless. Eagles Nest is an experience. All the rooms are themed and the decor interestingly eclectic. The beds are very comfy. The place is clean. The kitchen has everything one needs. And then there's the outdoor spa (where you run your outdoor bath) tucked discreetly away for a relaxing soak. I think spectacular is the best word to describe the view and the night sky. We even saw a meteor shower from our bed which will be forever etched in my mind, with Mt Roland silhouetted in the background and a squillion million stars twinkling in the night sky (admittedly it was 4.30am - I'd woken to visit the bathroom - lucky timing!). So nice!

What a fabulous, peaceful, serene little piece of paradise. SO quiet and surrounded by lovely views, farmland and friendly animals. A great place to unwind, disconnect from the world and chill out. Shane is a great host and the cottage is not too far from amenities at Deloraine. Loved our time spent at the cottage. Lovely and snug in front of the fire - local cheese and a wine. Great welcome touches with fresh eggs, milk, bread etc. We will return.

Eagle Nest III is hands down the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at. The view is breathtaking, the rooms are beautiful, and the whole place feels like a dream come true. I was honestly amazed — didn’t expect to find a place this magical. The host was fabulous and gave super clear instructions. The outdoor hot tub is a must — easy to use and perfectly placed to soak in the stunning mountain views. The road to the unit is easy to access, and once you’re there, the peace and calm are unmatched. There’s a cozy fireplace with plenty of firewood, so no worries about keeping warm. Plus, the nearby farm animals (chickens, cows, bunny!) make the whole experience even more delightful. I left feeling refreshed, happy, and already thinking about my next visit. Highly, highly recommended! :)

It was a lovely time at Graham and Kathleen’s place and we’d love to go back every year, if possible, every season to see the changes of the nature!!! Also would love to learn how Graham and Kathleen created such a wonderful place over the years.

This was our favourite stay in Tasmania. The cottage is clean, comfortable, and perfectly situated in beautiful hills. We were welcomed into the cottage with ANZAC biscuits. Tracy and Quinton were wonderful host, sharing their farm and beautiful animals that we had the joy of petting and feeding. They were so kind and went above and beyond providing some local produce and stocked kitchen. We had so much fun at this farm stay and exploring nearby areas, a must book and we hope to return!

We loved our stay at Klara’s hut on her property and surrounding farm. It has all the home comforts you need for a cosy getaway and is well located to get to Cradle Mountain national park and other great spots in the north of Tasmania. The welcome package she provided was incredibly tasty (and generous!). Ending the day with a fire and a glass of wine and beautiful surroundings was exactly what we were after! Highly recommend booking this spot.

This place is so perfect in every way.. The park.. the amenities… the rooms ..kitchen all “PERFECT”.. Wings Wildlife park have got it right in every way. More than I ever imagined.. A big THANK YOU 🙏 from both of us.. Would HIGHLY recommend to ALL… SO PEACEFUL… and so nice to be able to wander into the wildlife park once you have paid.. any time you want during your stay.. ( up until 4pm) Plus… Great food and awesome coffee.

We had an amazing stay at the Coach House. What a spectacular location with gorgeous views. How amazing is the house! Clean and comfortable beds. We were supplied with plenty of firewood so all 10 of us were able to keep warm and comfortable during our June stay. Great communication, friendly host and a lovely welcome loaf of fresh bread on our arrival. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

A great lodging for the young children to experience farm stay and Angela was so kind to prepare some bread, jam and eggs from her farm. Although there were some minor hiccups, Angela tried her best to assist us by fixing these issues. She was also very kind to walk us around her beautiful farm and my boys simply loved her farm animals so much🥰 thank you, Angela!

We spent three nights as a group of two families. The wood heater burning on our arrival was a wonderful welcome (as was the floor heating). We had plenty of space and really enjoyed wandering around the garden areas, watching the horses and an outdoor game of chess. There is heaps to do within 30 minutes drive which kept us busy. A beautiful, relaxing and comfortable place to stay.

What a fantastic place to stay, spectacular views and modern, well appointed rooms, each with its own unique look and feel. Sharyn and Pat were amazing, welcoming hosts, we felt really well looked after! Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a bit of luxury in a slightly off the beaten track location!

Wonderful cosy home that is close enough to town to make exploring easy, while remote enough to be a quiet and peaceful place to relax.

For the LOCATION: The location is PERFECT for people who want to visit Cradle Mountain. The living place has a fantastic view of the mountains. It is about a 15-minute drive to the closest town of Tasmania. For the HOUSE: Everything is well-maintained and tidy. The facility is old but enough to use. Do not recommend BBQ, because the BBQ facility is outside and it would bother other neighbours. The kitchen comes with some kitchen utensils but it needs to be further cleaned. For the ENVIRONMENT: If you are an animal lover, this place is the best for you! There are lots of animals and also a cute kitty in the reception :)

A great place to stay for a quiet getaway. Very nice location central to local walks and waterfalls. Very accommodating for my dog, I would highly recommend to my friends

Penny's property is a wonderful place to stay. The house and location were even better than we expected. The bedrooms are all huge and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. It's also in a stunning and peaceful area. We couldn't have been happier!

This place is BEAUTIFUL!! It’s small and cosy but uses the space wonderfully and is gorgeous. The hostess is so lovely and even took us out to feed the farm animals in the morning. The bed was superb and the water pressure was great! Highly recommend!!

Absolutely beautiful! Amazing outdoor spa, looking onto the mountain, beautiful and warm on checkin. Perfect, peaceful, some of the best Tasmania has to offer. 👏👏

Diana and Steve's place is absolutely beautiful and a perfect escape from the city. The entire environment feels just like home, and they were incredibly welcoming. We loved interacting with the animals during our stay. It was an amazing experience, and if we have the chance to return to Tasmania, we will definitely stay here again!Thanks a lot ❤️

We absolutely loved our stay!! The area is so gorgeous, good hikes in drivable distances. Close to cradle mountain. We LOVED the animals. The cats were so cute and friendly, as were the farm animals.
