How satisfying to experience a place that looks better, and offers much more than what's seen on the photos! From the responsiveness of the host Gianluca, the serene environment at the backdrop of whistling coastal palms, to the brilliant service by Jack the chef and Shukran, the facility is simply exquisite and offers a magical experience that would certainly leave you revitalized at the end of your stay! The trek to the breathtaking Garoda beach is at least 7 minutes away, which serves as a little exercise to balance the heavy feasting at the villa ;-) Overall an unforgettable experience that definitely warrant a second!

First, I must commend Naomi for her welcoming gesture! Despite our flight arriving very late, causing us to check in well past the expected time, she graciously waited for us, displaying remarkable flexibility and understanding. Not only did she accommodate our late arrival, but she went above and beyond by preparing a delicious and memorable meal for us upon our arrival. The home is an absolute gem! One of the most outstanding aspects of this property is its excellent location. Situated in a prime area, it provided easy access to all the attractions and amenities I desired. Security was a top priority at this home, and it gave me peace of mind throughout my stay. The property featured robust security measures, including a private gate and a guarded main entrance. It truly felt like a haven where I could relax and enjoy my vacation without any worries. I highly recommend Naomi's place to anyone seeking a secure and well-located getaway - especially for families with little kids.

Wow Wow Wow, what an amazing place. If you are looking for absolute peace and tranquility then Shanti House in Lamu is the place to go. Amazing setting right on the beach with breathtaking sunset, great beach walks, etc. The staff where great and Steven the house assistant was there to help with anything when needed. Although there is great restaurants around, no need to go out and look for restaurants as the chef Katana was amazing and his food was spectacular. I highly recommend Shanti House for anyone looking for an amazing beach holiday experience.

One of the best Airbnb stays I have had. I felt right at home. Everyone was so friendly and hospitable it was a joy just to hang around and chat. The environment was so peaceful and beautiful it was a tropical paradise. I definitely would love to come back again to their little slice of heaven.

Mauro‘s stay is a wonderful oasis in the midst of Shela. We thoroughly enjoyed the location the picturesque views from the top balcony and the cosy kitchenette on the main floor. The bedrooms were comfortable, clean and spacious en-suite’s. Miss Dama the housekeeper is an excellent cook, we really enjoyed her peppered fried fish and mango avocado salad, very recommendable. Mauro was an excellent host, extremely quick to respond, offering hints, tips and advice for Lamu. I would definitely recommend Mauro‘s stay in Shela!

Beautiful surroundings and private location. Access road is a little rough but that's what I expected for a remote location. Views of Mount Kenya from the balcony. Generous sized rooms and nice layout

We had a wonderful stay at Elizabeth Place. The house is set within a spacious compound that offered plenty of room for our kids to play and explore safely. The play area was fantastic and kept the little ones entertained for hours. The property also provided a perfect retreat for relaxation and privacy. The serene environment and well-maintained surroundings made it an ideal spot for some much-needed rest. Highly recommended for families looking for a comfortable and private getaway.

The Dunes is a very special and beautiful home. The photos were helpful in our initial booking and on arrival we were in awe with how breathtaking the property is in real life. In particular, we spent many hours in the pool which was kept sparkling for our entire week’s stay. Marianne was a very responsive host, replying to any questions very quickly throughout our time at The Dunes. Abu, the caretaker, was very kind and knowledgeable, organising day trips and a very special sunset dhow experience- nothing was too much trouble. The house is kept spotless by Joyce which was really appreciated and chef Tomick was very flexible with our varied schedules each day. At night, we felt very safe with Muhammad’s unobtrusive presence. I highly recommend you treat yourself with spending time in this amazing property.

A most convenient location: Ubers find you easily: a short walk to Sarit Center (Mall with everything, especially Carrefour for anything you need for self-catering): daily housekeeping as in a hotel: comfortable without trying to be fancy, which often translates into twee or uncomfortable. Suited me very well for a 2 week stay. Self catered breakfast and snacks, ate out most nights except for 2. No stresses, which in Nairobi is a big positive. Will happily re book for another stay when the need arises.

Marie’s place was super clean. She was really responsive and flexible. The best part is the serene surroundings, green, quiet. Was really happy throughout my stay.

After a few days in Amboseli, we returned for our second stay at Dustin and Nancy’s apartment. They kindly stored our luggage while we were away, which made our trip to Amboseli much easier. The apartment is fantastic — three huge bedrooms, each with its own ensuite, plus an additional washroom. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped with modern conveniences. Nancy had thoughtfully left us some provisions, which made us feel right at home. The living/dining area is large and comfortable, with a big TV, Netflix, and even a dartboard. The apartment is located in a secure complex that includes access to a pool and gym. It's situated in an upmarket area, close to Westgate and Sarit Malls, with plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants nearby. I cannot recommend this apartment — or Dustin and Nancy — highly enough. Nancy was outstanding during both of our stays: responsive, helpful, and always available. Truly exceptional hosts. Very highly recommended.

Judith's place was absolutely fantastic at an unbeatable (literally unbeatable) price. The location is nice and easy to access whethere you are using the airport, train, or heading into town. The price is extremely affordable, the room is comfortable, and Judith was very healpful throughout the stay. Would absolutely reccomend.

Nicely set up apartment and great amenities, including well equipped gym. Very convenient to get around Nairobi from here, and was nice and peaceful. Check in was slightly complicated due to not having the security fob or key code until we called, but was resolved swiftly once we spoke to the host.

James is a great I would highly recommend his place. Very clean, great and supportive staff. He is very prompt even when you call him and carters for ones needs instantly.

This is truly a home away from home. Serene beautiful peaceful.

Absolutely loved our stay in this amazing B&B. Amazing spa in the garden, best breakfast we had in Kenya, comfortable rooms and an amazing roof terrace. Would definitely come back again!

I was bowled over when i arrived at the Casa Ya Ndoto as it was even more beautiful than the photos I had seen. It is set in beautiful gardens and the rooms have been beautifully decorated with a great attention to detail and concern for the comfort of the guest. I can't imagine why anyone would want to stay anywhere else! Mario and his family were extremenly friendly and welcoming and I felt like a valued guest in their home. Atila and the other staff were always on hand if I had any questions and the tours that Mario recommended were great. I will definitely be coming again - thanks Mario!

Fantastic host. Ann was very welcoming and the house is clean and beautiful. The breakfast was great too. The place looks just like the photos. The pool is beautiful. Highly recommended.

Good value for money. Its at the other end of Watamu but close to the beach, staff are nice, rooms was cleaned well and I liked the outdoor vibe of a table tennis / community feel Only downside is that the location was prone to some bugs, the staff did help with this with a bug spray, and there is also a good mosquito net. Overall i would recommend it to stay

Amazing stay! Super safe neighborhood, great food, attentive and kind staff ready to help. More of a hotel than an airbnb, and 100% worth every penny!! Norman was always ready to help us and even drive us! Amazing stay!

Jua House, exudes calm and tranquility. Pale colours and clean spaces invite book reading, chilling and time to unplug. Amani and his team couldn’t be more helpful. Hot showers after a morning swim in the sea, Belgian waffle towels and a banquet style breakfast was our daily morning routine. After this we retreated to the top floor with views all around. The hush of the sea stirs in the background. Fresh baking bread wafts up from the bakery on the ground floor. Village life occurs around about, so you feel part of the Shela community, who are welcoming and helpful. It feels like a privilege to be here in Lamu. Thank you.
