Walk to Space Needle Vintage View with King Bed

Take in great views from the terrace of this chic property, which also offers luxury beds with feather toppers. There's beautiful detailing as well, from the spiral staircase and hardwood floors to the rich dark wood of the dining tables and chairs. Welcome to the Queen Anne Hideaway. Your home away from home is a two level unit in an incredible vintage Queen Anne landmark home. Your apartment has been beautifully furnished, luxury beds with feather toppers, view decks, and all the details you need to make your stay perfect. Our apartment has two official bedroom (walls not shared) with one queen bed and one king. An additional sleeping nook has two twin beds perfect for kids or additional guests. We have plenty of free on street parking as well as two driveway spaces that you may use anytime they are free. The kitchen is stocked for all your cooking needs. You will find all the condiments and extras on hand necessary, including coffee and creamer (priority uno). We will do our very best to make your stay enjoyable at a price that makes it affordable to visit Seattle again in the future. Many of you like the ability to check in early, which is possible when the guests prior text me to say they have vacated (often guests leave before the 11AM check out time which allows me to get a early start on the cleaning). Guest will have access to our parking/driveway, view decks, and all the advice a person could want about Seattle eating and drinking! We use a keyless entry system to make things super easy on in and out. It's your trip, just pay your money and take good care of the apartment and the rest is up to you. I am here if you need me via text, however, I'm often times not on site. This well-located home is only two blocks away from the famous 'Frasier' view. The top of Queen Anne is an historic and very walkable area, with great vistas. There are also plentiful bars, cafes, bookstores, salons, tea shops, and eateries. Directions: 421 WEST Galer Street Seattle WA 98119 (5th West and Galer) My cell- text anytime (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) **If you text me when you check out I can keep the early check ins paying forward to the next guest. We are a three story victorian with a massively overgrown hedge on the Galer side and a driveway on the very wide 5th West side of the street. There are two driveway spots and street parking. Please use anything that is available. Transportation: If you aren’t planning on renting a car (not necessary in my mind) we have some great options. Airport/Car Service: ABC Transport (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) This car service is the most reliable, safest, most affordable way to get to the airport. Steve will answer a call 24/7 and could not be nicer. The airport is a flat $35 (tip not included) to and from Seatac. The cars are huge old town cars and very safe drivers. They are absolutely always on time both coming and going, and the extra trunk space for suit cases is great. It is CHEAPER to use this service than to take a cab and they know my location. I know that some of you are taking side trips once you arrive. ABC does transportation to many places so it is worth a call to see talk over your plans. Around Seattle: UBER CAR SERVICE The Uber app connects you to a driver at the tap of a button. Once the app is installed on your phone you can pull up a map to see the cars in your area. When you install the app you will put in your payment information. Once ready for a car simply pull up the app, drop a pin at your location, and wait for a car in the area to confirm they will pick you up. You will get a text message with your drivers name and photo as well as an estimated time to pick up. You can watch the car on the map make their way over to you. It’s very slick! You can choose between the fancy new town car or SUV (fun for weddings or special events), Hybrid Vehicle (unmarked but manned by a taxi driver), or lastly a citizen’s car (marked by a furry pink mustache). The citizen car is the cheapest route, but don’t worry….the driver and the cars have been vetted with background checks on both the driver and the car (which must be 5 years young or less, clean, and safe). There is no exchange of cash or tipping since that’s all included in your prior setup of the account. I’ve found it to be very affordable depending on which car level you choose - and so dang simple anyone can use it! I’m unaware of the car seat installation policy if you have young ones, however, I recommend this service and use it personally several times a month. DO NOT take Uber to the airport as will cost you a fortune. BUS: There is a bus stop right in front of our home that will take you directly downtown. If you want to find a specific destination Metro has a trip planner that can be helpful for busing to any location in Seattle. WALKING: Seattle is a great city for walking. The walk downtown is easy going down (we are at the tipity top of Queen Anne Hill about 2 blocks from the famous Fraiser skyline view) but the walk back can be a thigh burner. On top of Queen Anne we do have multiple great dining options as well as a Trader Joes (best grocery store ever and so cheap) just just a few blocks away, parks, pools, cafes, nail shops, and bars Please be light footed early in the morning and late at night as to not disturb the family that resides below. Old houses are notoriously loud and delicate! We will do our very best to make your stay enjoyable at a price that makes it affordable to visit Seattle again in the future. I hope that you respect and care for The Hideaway as your own in order to help us continue to provide incredible lodging at a fraction of hotel prices.

A Highland Hideaway! 7 Blocks from Seattle Center and the New Climate Pledge Arena: Home to Music Concerts and The Seattle Kraken! Tickets to home hockey matches can be arranged! We are looking for those who want to enjoy the comforts of home, but be on vacation. We are close to all the best parts of Seattle- 8 blocks to the Seattle Center, 2 blocks to the 3/4 Bus Line, and walking distance to Downtown, the Theater, the Opera, Ballet, Concerts at Key Arena, Yummy Restaurants and much much more! Though it is important to note we are on a hill and all the sites are down the hill (its coming hone that is tough). The unit comes fully furnished (coffee pot!) and all everything you would need whether staying for a few nights, a week, or even a few months. Professional are also welcome to enjoy a home away from home while traveling on business or relocating for an extended period of time. Guests have access to the entire backyard and their own private space with bedroom (queen bed), full (bathtub and shower) bathroom, kitchen, laundry, and office space. This space has a Key Pad for entry, No key is needed and each guests is provided with a unique code to entry with check in instructions. We are happy to provide any information and guidance while in Seattle/staying at our place. Guests access the unit from the side yard. We will have as much as as little interaction as you want. We will check on you once you arrive and usually say goodbye. Then maybe see you throughout your stay. At anytime- knock on the front door for anything you need. = ) Queen Anne is one of the best places in Seattle. You can can walk to dinner, bars, and concerts. The neighbors are all very nice and this is very safe and comfortable area. Restaurants are down the hill on 5th Avenue North and Taylor Ave N. There is no need for a car- walk/bus/Uber are all the best options to get around the city. If you have a car, there is not an assigned parking spot. You can park free on the street. Most days you can park right in front or on the block. The Bus is just 2 blocks away. The 3 and 4 come about every 15 minutes. Uber and /or Lyft are also a great way to get around, as Car to Go. FROM THE AIRPORT! Transportation options. 1. Light Rail from airport to downtown. Cost is $3 a person. Once you get downtown you can grab a cab for about $6-8. To our place. You can also grab the bus. Bus will be $2.75 a person. Cash only. Light rail is our "subway" system. It runs from airport to downtown all day long. 2. Take a Taxi from airport to our area. This will be about $45-50. However you can look into "(URL HIDDEN) This is flat rate service to and from the airport that has to be pre booked. To our unit it is $32 plus gratuity. It is a "flat rate", which is guaranteed to be $32. 3. Take a Town car from airport to our area. This is about $75. Uber works but only the town car option. If you want Uber X then you need to meet them in a specific area. You can pick up Bus #3 and #4 from downtown location- Westlake Center. This is the last stop on the rail. ***However- I might recommend getting off the Light Rail 1 stop earlier at University to avoid the crazy last stop. It is much easier and hotels are right there to grab a cab from too. Or Bus #3/4 are also available right above the platform. #3/4 comes 2 blocks from us on Taylor and Prospect. Just walk up the hill 2.5 blocks! So pack ok to walk the hill. = ) Bus only takes exact change and it is $2.50 a person most of the time- during peak hours it is $2.75. Taxi is great b/c it is door to door- but of course it is the cost. As is Uber or other reserved car service. A taxi will get you here much faster- about 30 min or less. Light Rail and Bus will take a good hour and a half after you get your gear- plus walking to the rail. The light rail does show you some of the sights- so it is a nice way to "come into the city". So depending on when u fly in and check in timing- this can be great option. Light rail info: sound transit website Bus info: King county metro website Getting around the city is easy and we are 1 mile away from the market and stuff. To the stadiums you can take bus/light rail. Or a cab. Renting a car is good if you are going to explore the outer areas of Seattle. Otherwise it is best to use taxis and uber to get around, so you don't have to deal with high parking prices, finding a parking spot and parking tickets. We are in the city. To rent- always check out Costcotravel if you are a member. Best deals! There is a Queen Bed and lots of extra bedding and towels for your use if you are a long term guest. A coffee pot is ready for your use with a starter kit of coffee, sugar and creamer. It's a full kitchen with all the tools you will need for cooking in if you want. Parking is usually quite accessible. We are located on a HILL- and during busy times you may have to park a block away. The hill is how we get our view. But you will want to consider that for parking and type of shoes to bring. = ) During winter months rain and snow can make our location a bit tougher. No permit is needed, it is free on the street. If you need the driveway for move in or move out- don't hesitate to ask.

James's Queen Anne guest house

Inspired by the show Tiny House Nation, I thought it would be fun to convert my small detached garage into my vision of a comfortable and modern living space with all the amenities. It's approx. 210 sq ft or 11 x 19 ft but has the feel of a much larger place . We are located in an amazing spot on the top of Queen Anne. Macrina's Bakery is just 100 ft along with the #2 Metro bus to take you downtown in just 10 minutes. We feel lucky to live in such a beautiful neighborhood!
