“Everything is as advertised. The location is great, right off the Main Street but in a quiet road. Close to super restaurants, bars and the beach. Nice porch for morning coffee or a glass of wine. Recommend Banana Cafe for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Eric was a wonderful host. Our trip couldn’t have been better.”

“The location is excellent. Most things are walking distance. There’s a trolley if you want to take it or a free Duval bus. Several great restaurants are close. The room is completely clean. Amenities are as described (coffee pot, refrigerator, towels, etc.) The balcony is so much fun for people watching. The room is very comfortable and there is plenty of space in it. There is one flight of stairs. Plan on carrying suitcases up a somewhat narrow stair (we just took some weight out of our bags and carried it up separately). We loved staying here and plan to schedule it for future trips. We did take earplugs, but the advice to just use the air conditioner for white noise was excellent. Tom gave use excellent information and check in and out instructions. He’s a great host.”
There is no better welcome to Key West than staying in local and famous folk artist Mario Sanchez's birth home. This home was built in the 1860's in the heart of the historic Gato and Merrero cigar factory villages. Featuring original Dade County pine construction, and located right on historic Duval Street, the Sanchez House is guaranteed to offer the historic atmosphere and living a part of Key West many visitors want to experience. Sit on the balcony and enjoy the trade winds & Ocean Breeze.
“This place is kept immaculate, David is an amazing host an goes above and beyond to insure you have the best time and don’t have to be inconvenienced in any way. We were concerned about sharing a bathroom but he was there several times in our one night stay cleaning it and keeping up the common areas . Most definitely recommend this place the location is exactly where you’d want to be and the smell of the bakery downstairs in the morning is a great treat!”
