Holiday rentals with breakfast in Kirtipur

Sugat and Roshani are amazingly friendly and helpful hosts and the experience was above all my expectations. I could check in already in the morning after my flight and Sugat came to pick me up from the airport. As soon as I got to the accommodation Roshani greeted me with some hot coffee and I got a lot of tips what to see in Kathmandu and Sugat helped me to plan my trip to Pokhara. He also helped me with all my questions and even made sure my busride to Pokhara went well after I had left the accommodation. Making the booking was easy, the room was very cozy and clean with electricity, wifi and warm shower. The accommodation is in a more calm area of the city, and still Thamel area and the attractions of the city are easy to reach. I couldn't have had a better start for my first trip to Nepal, I felt more like I was coming to visit a friend. I warmly recommend this accommodation for anyone visiting Kathmandu!

This charming, cozy room was located in a gated complex. There is a kitchen and bar located directly on the property that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Chef Nir will also be opening a bakery very soon. The location is one block behind the stupa and there is no shortage of restaurants and shopping. Sonam was exceptionally helpful in responding to my questions.

This family of father, mother and their 21 year old son are great hosts. They are warm, friendly and interested but respect your privacy. If anything needs repairing, they repair it or have it repaired right away. They offer to clean your room and bathroom more often than they need to be cleaned. The house is in a very quiet area and has a beautiful, green garden with various fruit trees and plants. If asked, they offer valuable information about local resources and events. I was fortunate to have the guestroom with an attached bathroom. Many extra blankets are kept in the room's closet for the times the weather gets cold. Their WIFI was excellent and I was always able to connect my devices in their house. I normally wanted to eat elsewhere where I had eaten for the past 3 decades on previous visits to Nepal. However, 3 times Mrs. Shrestha made me healthy and tasty lunches. I was given hot Nepali milk tea anytime I asked for it. They keep large containers with purified water in their kitchen which I was allowed to access at any time. Since I had an evening flight, they very generously offered me a ride to the airport my last day. They were the most hospitable hosts I have ever had among the various Airbnb guesthouses I have stayed in. When I visit Nepal again I would very much be interested in staying in one of their guestrooms. I would highly recommend these hosts to anyone.

Amazing host! Rina didi and her husband were extremely accommodating, helpful, and so gracious to our friends. The rooms were clean and quiet. Our friends who stayed here were so happy with the way the host treated them.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The walk to Bouddha was delightful, with plenty of food options nearby. We had an incredible conversation with our host, Januka, who was very knowledgeable about the area. Her family was extremely helpful, and we truly experienced the welcoming, guest-first culture we had heard so much about. Although we didn’t get to do yoga this time, we will definitely be back here.

Such a great, warm and welcoming family. I felt at home, immediately. All was easy and flexible, no matter what time i wanted to leave or come back home. Earlier breakfast and late dinners, according to my own schedule and wishes were always provided and they were delicious 😋. Missing Dhal Bat with Curry and pickled vegetables, already.... The whole house is kept to its cleanest and you can enjoy a western style and modern living, as well as a more traditional one. There is a garden in front of the house which provides the best fruits, from Pomelo, Guave, Passion fruit and all the veggies used for cooking - 100% healthy organic food. My best part though was the hiking days i enjoyed several times with the head of the family. He is very friendly, calm and knows the area best. Best guide in Pharpin! got to live several days with this nice and kind couple. A comfy place to stay at. Outside the tourist area but still has easy access to Thamel. A good place to experience something local.

Babin is an extremely hospitable host. I only stayed at his place for 1 night as a transit to Pokhara but Babin picked me up from the airport and gave a good room with all amenities to have a good night rest. I also got a good breakfast in the morning and he called a cab for me to get to the airport on time.

Nirmala and her Family are Wonderful and Kind people. I was blessed to have stayed with them. They went above and beyond their obligation to see that I was comfortable. They treated me like a member of their family. They took me to their additional village home and their temple outside of the city one day. I enjoyed the company of their family and friends. These are quality, people, and their home is close shops and restaurants, a ten minute walk. I spent time at Tergar Osel Ling for a program, and that was reasonably close as well. The price is right, and the company couldn’t be better. I would go back again without hesitation. Enjoy your stay with them. I certainly did.

It is a wonderful, spacious (with private balconies in all the rooms) and a safe place to stay with 24 hours security inside a gated apartment buildings. The place is centrally located in a good neighborhood of Kathmandu. The hosts were very responsive and friendly and provided us with other help (cook/cleaner) while we stayed there. I would certainly take this place again for my next visit to Kathmandu. Regards AG

The food is also very clean and cozy, the only thing is that the hot water is not enough, but everything else is perfect to stay in a very good homestay!

The landlord Sarita is very friendly and kind, with an angelic smile. She provided a lot of local travel tips and took me to many local activities. She can provide meals at any time, which is just as comfortable as living at home, This is the warmest family hostel I have ever stayed in, Thanks a lot for Sarita did for me. Will stay again when I back from Pokhara .

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Soham's Temperate Ecotel in the heart of Thamel, Kathmandu, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! ✨ From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with the warmest hospitality. The room was Sparkling clean, thoughtfully decorated, and offered a cozy, peaceful vibe amidst the buzz of Thamel. The bed was super comfortable, and the facilities were just perfect – especially the beautiful rooftop seating area! ☕️🌸 Location-wise, it couldn't be better: - Garden of Dreams– just a 5-minute walk! 🌺 - Durbar Square– a 15-minute walk through colorful streets and local markets! ⛩️ - Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple)– a short 10-minute taxi ride! 🐒 - Pashupatinath Temple– about 20 minutes by taxi! - Boudhanath Stupa – a scenic 25-minute drive! 🛕 - Tons of amazing cafes, restaurants, and shops Getting around was super easy – taxis and bike rentals are readily available. The staff at Soham’s place were always ready to help with anything.

I stayed one month at the apartment. It is in a great location, remote from the main roads noise and dust. The room is very clean, it is exactly like in the pictures. The internet is fast, breakfast is great, it is a really nice place to stay if you visit Kathmandu, I would recommend it to anyone.

We had an amazing time at Babu's and Belku's homestay. They welcomed us as part of their family from the first day, offering help and advice with any issues we encountered, organizing trekking (day and week-long), and taking us with them for local festivities. They had great internet, video calls worked very well. The rooms had great views across the mountains next door or the green hill sides of Kirtipur and were exceptionally clean. We spent a lot of time reading and relaxing on one of the balconies or the big sun terrace. Before our trip we were hesitant whether staying with a local family would be too intense but we are so glad we decided to do so. You are free to move in the homestay as if it was your home, engaging with the family as much or as little as you want, but trust us you will look very much forward to participating in the family life, learning how to cook as amazingly as Belku does, learning Nepali with Babu, or just talking about everyday life with them. This is our second time in Nepal and only now we feel like we have experienced it for real. The deep insights into Nepali culture, cuisine, and daily life we got in this homestay you cannot get when staying in Thamel. You can visit Kathmandu with a short taxi ride but we were always glad to escape the busy city to the relaxing green rice fields of Kirtipur. It is not overstated to say our stay was a lifetime experience. We greatly recommend to stay with Babu, Belkin, and Aayush.

Absolutely loved this stay in the heart of Thamel - kathmandu's trendy district. The rooms were cosy and well equipped. There is a well decor'd rooftop space that it's super chill; we spent a lot of time there. Amit, the owner, was a fun conversationalist and we thank him for hanging with us. Had a wonderful stay at the Hira Guest House, Yelos and Mika (the sweet lad in the kitchen) made our stay feel like home away from home. The place is a perfect place to plunge into the past, the rustic decor, clean sheets, friendly staff is just perfect. Yelos art is exceptional and praise worthy. It was fun to see Patan and walk the narrow mysterious aisles with Yelos. He is a perfect tour guide too! Make it your home too dear loggers!
