This little house started life as a woodworking shop. When we outgrew it, we made it into a guest house. It may be imperfect, but it's perfectly adorable. We have a peek of Mt. Hood from the yard and lovely territorial views. At night, you can enjoy the beauty of a Milky Way sky far from city light pollution. Come. Enjoy. Relax. No skating during winter month where pond is icy and sleek. Golf cart is temporarily out of order. 3 bedrooms, has 2 queen bed and 1 full bed. Has 2 bathrooms. Entire kitchen is functional, spices, oven, fridge, coffeemaker, toaster, microwave etc. Bar height dining table and chairs seats six people.

Elsie's View: Cozy Vintage/Modern Cabin

We are nestled in the woods within a stone's throw of the stunning White Salmon River. Our cabin dates to the 1920s (one of the oldest in the area but we recently updated it). 4 people max. We are best for 1 or 2 adult couples (one queen and one full size bed are available). A couple with one or two kids works okay too. What doesn’t work great are 4 adults who sleep separately since that means using the pull out couches downstairs. Well-behaved dogs okay with advance notice.

The Red House built for the ‘Horse King of the Northwest’ Charles Newell and his wife Mary in 1890, is now a distinctive vacation rental.
