A true lakeside retreat, decorated with positive lake affirmations. :) 3 floors. Bottom floor is separate from 2nd and 3rd. Dock has 2 kayak launch spots and 1 hydraulic lift for a single hull boat. The dock doesn't articulate as low as others during dry seasons. We didn't try using either.

It's about a 2-hour drive from Yosemite, which made it a great home base for exploring the park while still enjoying peaceful evenings away from the crowds. The unit itself was super cute and thoughtfully decorated, with everything we needed and more, from a fully stocked kitchen to soft towels, comfy bedding, and even a few extra touches that the host kindly provided (like snacks, toiletries, and local recommendations). You can really tell the host put a lot of care into making the space feel welcoming and relaxing. It was the perfect mix of nature and comfort, and we’d definitely come back! Highly recommend for couples or solo travelers looking for a quiet, charming spot near Yosemite.

I love this house and its location! It’s within walking distance of the Knights Ferry recreation area, which is really beautiful this time of year. The house has an amazing back deck, perfect for an afternoon drink and conversation. The kitchen and dining area comfortably seats 8 people. The check-in and check-out processes are super easy. This house is the perfect get away spot and I’m looking forward to booking it again.

our family has been coming to this beautiful lake for the past 15 years, we are so happy to have found a great new home to stay at!! the house was very clean and well stocked. wish there was access to the water, but it was just a short drive and we were able to rent a slip for our boat at the nearby marina!! Where do I start. I'll start with.. the Schoolhouse was one of our favorite Airbnbs. It was home for six weeks and was the coziest Airbnb I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. Serene and quiet with wildlife just outside the French doors in the bedroom through which natural light filled the room. The decor was warm and inviting. The photos don't do justice to the home. We had everything needed. The kitchen was spacious with modern appliances, including a dishwasher, plenty of cooking utensils, cookware and dinnerware. It has everything you need, whether it's a long or short-term stay. Lorna was kind and helped with anything needed. She was patient when our packages were left at her home and insisted she bring them, so I didn't have to walk uphill to her home. (Thank you!) We've traveled full time for 5 years. Normally, I'm excited for the next move, but this time, I did not want to leave the Schoolhouse. Thank you for the beautiful home and care received while there.
