Waterfront holiday rentals in Lake Placid

The second floor apartment is a very cool, very large space, with high ceilings and plenty of light. It is right in the heart of downtown Saranac Lake and is super convenient to restaurants, shopping, and all the many activities the area offers. The space is great for multiple people and is family and pet friendly. The building itself is old and historic, and as such, it can be noisy between creaky floors, tenants on the third floor coming and going, and the street outside at night. The back bedrooms are quiet. If you are looking for a fun place with historic charm right in the heart of the town, this is for you! If you're seeking peace and quiet, this might not fit the bill. We appreciated being able to bring our well behaved dogs and the convenience of staying close to friends who live in town.

The location is perfect with easy access to the Ausable river with brown trout fishing within 100 yards. Meg was friendly and responsive and made sure everything was smooth. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful Adirondack getaway!

Such a cozy place to rest and enjoy the Adirondack forest. Just off the main road but still close to town. Efficient and comfortable with beautiful craftsmanship throughout. Combined with Betsy’s proactive communication it was the ideal spot for my stay. Highly recommended.

Melinda’s was a great host, this place is in a great location. the drive to and from lake placid was beautiful and not too long. I made the mistake of thinking that this studio apartment was a separate entity and then realized it was underneath Melinda’s home. But Melinda gave very safe, kind, welcoming vibes, so all was well.

The river was swollen but still beautiful to see right on the backyard! It rained every day until we left but it was still a wonderful weekend. Enjoyed the information left at the BNB on things to do in the area. The bed was more comfortable than the one we have at home!

Whitney's loft provided a perfect getaway for my 30th birthday. It was super clean and inviting. She was resposive throughout the whole experience. The environment was perfect if you want a peaceful, yet adventurous stay. We made use of the provided canoe and paddled through the Oseetah Lake with our dogs, which is just a short walk on the property. This is our first time in the ADK area and we were not disappointed. We even took a day trip to Montreal.

Where do I start...from before I arrived, up until my departure...Joanne was attentive in every way possible. All my questions were answered with an immediate response. The home was extraordinary. The effort Joanne has put in to making it just like home shows. With an abundance of whimsical touches. Up until the day I left, I would see a new thing. As if the enchanting home wasn't enough, the back patio is a place of serenity...with the sounds and view of the river extraordinary. I could go on and on, but I will just say, "it was the best vacation I have ever had". One word describes this Airbnb...AMAZING!!!🩷. I will return next year! Didn't want to leave!!! 😊 Thank you Joanne for your exemplary hospitality!

Ashley’s home is gorgeous! If you like the idea of staying in a lake house with a magnificent view you will not be disappointed. The home has two larger windows, one in kitchen and living room that provides a breathtaking view of the lake. The home is exactly as described and more, very nicely decorated with all new appliances. We could not have been happier with our stay and look forward to the next opportunity to stay again.

The house and location were amazing. We had 10 people and there was more than enough room for all of us. We played ping pong and air hockey until our arms were sore!

This place is a gem!! Feels very homey yet big enough that you don’t feel right on top of everyone. Very peaceful, Beautiful views, comfy beds, wonderful kitchen and overall a great space especially for a bigger group of people. Close to Main Street and all the restaurants. I would HIGHLY recommend!!

I was very happy with the location and how easy it was for me to bring my kids on the lake and learn to fish. Beautiful views and a pleasant place to stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the "Dreamy Mirror Lake House." Our hosts Patrick & Kevin were also very responsive and got back to us quickly when we had questions. The location of the house is perfect - the shops are a short walk, the neighbors are quiet, and the view of the lake is stunning. The interior of the house looked exactly like the pictures in the listing and we had everything our family needed, and more! We enjoyed sitting on the dock and taking the kayaks & paddle boards out onto the lake. The pool table/ping pong table in the rec room was also fun! The house was perfect for our family and we would love to return in the future!

We enjoyed the backyard and kayaks immensely! Great yard for kids and pup to play in. Close to White Face, Lake Placid, and Ausable Chasm. Beds were very comfortable and so many thoughtful amenities. Jennifer was in contact with us to make the rental perfect! We hope to go back in the fall or winter in the future.

The condo was great! We stayed for a ski weekend and enjoyed the beautiful view of mirror lake, access to the indoor pool and hot tub and easy walk to shops.

Our friend group was looking for a place to stay close to the whiteface mountain and we got super lucky to find Jo’s house! Beautiful house, stylish & super cozy - we felt like at home right away! All this in addition to beautiful surroundings made our trip an unforgettable experience! Each bedroom had a private bathroom and a common bathroom on the first floor which was amazing for a group of 6 people. Showers deserve an additional mention - it was definitely a calming and relaxing experience! Jo is an amazing host. Communication was great, we were given a lot of recommendations about local “must-visit” places. The host is super responsive, kind and understanding! Overall, it was an unforgettable experience at Jo’s place and hopefully we can go there again in the future! we highly recommend it!!

It's a beautiful location with plenty of things to do in the area. You do get your money's worth. It's also close to many shopping amenities for those who prefer not to travel by car to buy groceries or medicine. Overall, a great experience!

We had a great stay and the location was peaceful and quiet. Access to both lake Placid and mirror lake was easy with paddle boards. It was an easy walk to town as well. The condo was spacious with more than enough space for our group of 7. The kitchen cabinets and appliances as well as bathrooms are dated but all in perfect working order. We would definitely book with Diane in the future.

Nicest bnb we have stayed at in placid! We had the grounds to ourselves and enjoyed sitting by the lake the first night before it rained the rest of the weekend. The place was cozy and the fireplace was nice for the rainy days. I appreciated the snacks and drinks in the room too!

Condo matches the pictures, but the view is far better than the pictures. Very comfortable space and open floor plan. Kitchen was well stocked, we cooked in a couple nights and had everything we needed to prep meals. Having three full bathrooms was great (we had 4 adults and two kids). Easy walk to the middle of town and all the restaurants/shops, but far enough away that it didn’t feel busy. Coffee on the balcony was an amazing way to start the day. We’ve been going to lake placid for 20+ years and have stayed many places - this is one of the best views we’ve had while still being right in the village. Highly recommended.

Shaun's place was more than we could have asked for! Very roomy and clean. Easy walk right to the heart of Lake Placid. Finding and parking at the condo was super straightforward and simple to find. We forgot coffee filters, (of course we realized this on a morning we woke up at 4am for a big hike) but thankfully Shaun's place comes with some odds and ends like coffee filters, salt/pepper, etc - so thanks for that! Next time I'm back in the Adirondacks I'm staying here.

We loved our stay! Even more beautiful and cozy as in pictures. We didn’t want to leave. Rudy is a great host, too. Very responsive and helpful. Would love to come back
