Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Lancaster

Suzi and Luci’s Place was absolutely beautiful. For a home that often takes pets, it was top tier clean. They were more than accommodating on check-in time since we were traveling from east end of Long Island, it was about a 4 1/2 hour drive. Beds were extremely comfortable and clean, they had the AC and some lights on for us when we got there as well which was very much appreciated. Unfortunately, we had to cut our stay very short. Paid for 2 nights but only stayed for 1. Suzi and Luci were very understanding when we messaged late at night that we had to leave due to family emergency. The view of the falls was gorgeous. Be prepared for some noise from the road at night as it backs up straight to it, but the hostesses offer ear plugs which was super nice! The shower is a bit small so beware if you are a larger person. Overall a great stay, great communication, super clean and comfortable. We can’t wait to come back and fully enjoy the home! The perfect house for a long weekend with friends. We very comfortably fit six adults and five kids (ages 5, 4, 2, 1 and 1). So well equipped for families with a crib in the master bedroom and tons of toys and games. Lots of places to hang out from the beautiful screened in porch to the open layout upstairs and game room downstairs. The location is incredible… a front yard full of horses (you’re living amongst the farms) and a very short drive to the activities we chose. Highly recommend checking out Cherry Crest Farm, Strasbourg train and Dutch Wonderland. Across the street from the house is an Amish stand with fresh baked goods and strawberries. For food, Lancaster Brewing co was fantastic as well as Speckled Hen. Can’t wait to come back!

Anne and Chris are both incredible hosts! We have stayed at Cambridge Meadows two years in a row now, and have had an incredible experience both times. It’s close enough to so many restaurants and activities, but the bnb is also nice enough to be able to stay in and hang out there, so there’s a good balance of both!

This place is quaint and quiet! Perfect spot for a quiet getaway, yet close to everything (15-20minutes) we absolutely LOVED the trail following the river leading to a beautiful covered bridge! Beautiful area!

This is the second time we have stayed at Wilkum Home. We enjoyed the stay in this home so much the first time that it was an easy decision to stay here again on our second visit to Lancaster. The home is conveniently located for walking or driving to restaurants, area attractions or wherever you wish to go. The house is very clean, nicely decorated and has all the amenities you need for a home away from home. And the hosts are wonderful, always very responsive and accommodating. Also the home has a dedicated parking space just steps away from the front door which adds another level of convenience to this home. If you’re looking for very nice accommodations in Lancaster City, then you have found it - this is truly a fantastic place to stay!

The cottage was adorable and located in the perfect area. We loved the privacy of the backyard and used both the hot tub and the fire pit. We had one small problem upon arrival, but Daniel was responsive and extremely helpful getting it worked out. We would definitely stay again!

We had an amazing time staying at Vanessa’s place. She goes above and beyond to provide everything that anyone could need and more including extra razors, q tips, and even local goodies. It was so clean and had enough room for my sister’s wheelchair to get through easily. We loved having the shower chair, grab bars, ramp, and wide spaces. Snickers, the cat, and all of the farm animals added an extra special touch to the trip. We came here to go to Sight and Sound and ended up going to so many places because of how local Vanessa’s place is to everything. We cannot wait to come back and spend more time in this gem. Vanessa is a great host that knows how to keep her guests happy and feel right at home in the space. Thank you so much!

We enjoyed our stay at your lovely home. The fire pit area was so cute, even though we didn’t get a chance to use it. It was close to the places we were going to but out of the busyness of Lancaster.

What a beautiful peaceful location. We had to drive everywhere we went but that was our intent. Everything we needed was provided, the apartment was spotless, and we had plenty of space for our belongings. We’ll definitely book this place again!

We absolutely loved our stay in Emily's place. It was even better in person than the photos. Emily was communicative and proactive- she thought of everything we needed ahead of time! My daughter loved the hot tub, fire pit, and smores kit!

Modern, beautifully decorated unit with great privacy. Views are amazing, so wide, expansive and peaceful. You can watch sunrise and sunset from the balcony! You can see people passing on the side street in their horse and buggies. The outdoor seats are very comfortable. The bed is comfortable too. Matt is a phenomenal host, his response time is super quick, he is very helpful and accommodating.

Wonderful experience, I really can't say one negative thing. Beautiful farm located in Amish country. My wife and I loved petting the calves, dogs and kittens. Wilma had cookies, bread, milk and eggs for us. Can't wait to go back!

Amazing Airbnb, Jane was very easy to communicate with and flexible on our check out which helped a lot with our little ones. Would highly recommend her as a host and staying at her apartment. Was also very clean and had a toy room which my daughter loved!

We were looking for a last minute family trip to Lancaster for a train ride and to visit an Amish farm. We were traveling with our 4 children under 5 and Dorothy was extremely accommodating. She offered us fresh milk from their cows and kept it raw by special request due to some of our kids lactose intolerance from pasteurized milk. The fresh bread and jam, eggs from their hens which we could see outside our kitchen window, made the homestead life seem so simple lovely and enjoyable (I’m sure it takes a lot of hard work to keep up with - they do a phenomenal job and I was so grateful to share a small moment of that). They provided a crib and an extra mattress on the floor for our kids. The space was cozy, very clean and we felt right at home. It rained for a little while we were there and Dorothy had legos and books available which the kids enjoyed. When it wasn’t raining we were able to walk their beautiful property. The kids really enjoyed the tree swing, playground and trampoline.

This place was clean and she answered all my questions. I would book this place again.

Great responsive hosts. Really neat cabin and property. Like the short hiking trail and sitting on the screened in porch to enjoy the creek. Clean and cozy cabin. We had some rainy weather so wasn’t able to enjoy the firepit. Small brewery nearby. A dollar store for any forgotten items. Would stay here again.

Absolutely beautiful property and home. Extremely clean. Gracious and welcoming hosts. Our family had a great time. Had everything we needed and more. Including homemade chocolate chip cookies on the table when we arrived. Would go back again for sure.

Stayed 2 nights on a weekend taking in 2 family reunions in the area. This place is fabulous. Beautiful cabin. Comfy beds and couches to lounge in. Warm welcome with delicious homemade cookies. Loved all the little lights and decorations. And lots more that we didn't get to experience. Our only disappointment was that our time was so taken up with events that we had very little time to chill out and enjoy the cabin. We absolutely loved staying here and will definitely try to stay here when we are in the area again.

We had 6 people in our group, which included a 5 year old. Everyone had enough room to spread out and the kid loved the game room, upstairs playroom and player outside. We are going to miss coffee and wine out in the screened in porch morning/night. Great place to stay and I would highly recommend.

Stayed here in 2019 and again this week. Beautiful as ever, quaint and clean. My only criticism is the lights in the yard were not working and there was not a bulb in the back porch light so it was pitch black at night which made the outdoor area not as enjoyable as it could’ve been at night. Otherwise our stay was great.

Walking into this cozy home felt like a step back in time, except we had all the amenities we needed. I loved soaking in the details of this historic structure with its emphasis on chicken decor. We also very much enjoyed driving the surrounding countryside with its extremely hilly roads winding through lush farmland. We rode the bike train nearby, took a ride on a train pulled by a steam engine, and walked some of the many walking/biking trails. All in all, The Coop was a lovely home in a serene setting with great outdoor activities available nearby if desired. We highly recommend a visit!

We loved it so much! An easy 20 min drive to Hershey, yet the perfect amount of peace and quiet. The cabin is adorable and clean. The goats made my kids day. Even with my 18 month old trying to grab their noses, they were the sweetest goats ever! We'd love to make this an annual trip.
