Oksala's upper floor for silence and light

My grandmother and grandfather's house OKSALA is located in the southern part of Kaukosen village, 1.5 km from the Ounasjoki bridge on the west side of the river. The distance to the Reidar Särestöniemi Museum is 9 km, to Kittilä 20 km, to Levi 40 km and to Ylläs (Ylläasjärvi) 30 km. The house is a place to experience the lights and silence of Lapland, the nature and culture of Lapland in the village community of Kaukonen. My grandmother was a seamstress and my grandfather was a hunter and fisherman. I've been trying to keep a hint of it for you.

In a private house in a quiet location (6 km to the centre), a "studio": a bedroom and its own renovated bathroom and SAUNA, in addition a utility room with a kitchenarea. The space has a microwave oven, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, small fridge, dishes and tea, coffee, sugar, oatmeal. There is no stove or oven in the apartment. I live in the same building. There is an indoor dog in the apartment. Guests have their own entrance and the space can be locked. Free parking space and free 5G-wifi.

You will stay safely in a separate apartment with its own entrance. Quiet location on the shore of the beautiful Ylä-Juumajärvi, about 2 km from Juuma village, 3 km from Pieni Karhunkierros, near Oulanka National Park. Nearby are wonderful nature sites: Karhunkierrokset, Riisitunturi, Ruka, Kiutaköngäs, etc. You can make day trips to nearby destinations. The beach sauna is at your disposal and we will advise you on how to heat it. WiFi available. The price includes linens and towels for three.

In this unique and peaceful holiday resort in the middle of a beautiful rural environment, it is easy to relax. The living room has a sleeping alcove with a double bed and a sofa that can be used as an extra bed. The cabin also has a toilet/bathroom and a kitchen. The apartment has heating and air conditioning. Linens and towels are included in the price. I'll pick you up at the airport/train station. The accommodation is located about 10 km/10 min drive from the city center.

Desk and chairs You will also find a kitchenette with fridge, stove and microwave, crockery and cutlery. The studio has a private bathroom with a shower. Towels and toilet paper are provided. Very cozy studio with small kitchen and bathroom. This is suitable for 2 adults (+ 2 children.) The location is great, very near of city center of Kuusamo. Ski bus goes to Ruka from very near of the house ( 50 metres). The supermarket is located 100 metres of the house. There is a cross-country ski run very near ( 100 m) as well possibility to ice-skate.
