Sólvangur is a horse-breeding farm in the South Coast of Iceland. You will have wonderful views to nature, horses, sheep, dogs and cats in the surroundings. Perfect stay for exploring south Iceland and enjoy nature and the northern lights in winter. Beautiful cabin by the river Hvítá in a prime location in the Golden Circle. Near Gullfoss and Geysir and only 100 km to the capital city Reykjavík. The cabin can accommodate 2-4 persons. One bedroom with beds for two people. In the living room there is a pull-out sofa for two persons. The kitchen is fully stocked. The bathroom has a shower and the laundry room has a washing machine and a dryer.

Since the year 1929 we have been harnessing the river Sandá, producing now annually ca. 5 GWh of electrical energy for both the farm itself and the nearby area, including the nearby village Laugarvatn.
