The Beara Bus....with Awesome Views

The Beara Bus is a unique living space situated on the coastline with stunning views across the Atlantic to the Sheeps Head and Mizen Head Peninsulas and Bere Island. The entrance to the harbour of Castletownbere ( Irelands second largest fishing port) can be seen with the daily coming and goings of the fishing fleet. In the waters below the Bus basking shark, minke whale and dolphins are frequent visitors. The sun rising up over Sheeps Head Peninsula can make for an unforgettable breakfast !

Nestled in a mountain side, the cottage is surrounded by waterfalls and stunning countryside with rolling hills to the east and mountains to the West. you can hike straight from the door up into the mountains (no busy roads) or you can just sit back and enjoy the beautiful views and relax. It's also an Ideal base for the Ring of Kerry and the Beara peninsula. There's a 7kw EV Charging point and payment is per KWh used. Please note the property is unsuitable for babies, infants or children.

Relax and enjoy the ebb and flow of the tide overlooking Croagh Bay located just inside the iconic Fastnet Lighthouse. Situated a 10 minute (10km) drive from Schull the location is ideal to immerse yourself in all the sea and the Wild Atlantic Way has to offer (swimming, kayaking, fishing, sailing) and enjoy the West Cork walking trails, including Barleycove Beach and Mizen Head.

We are situated on the Beara Peninsula, just up the road from Helen's Bar in Kilmackilogue. Our Shepherds Hut called The Bothy, overlooks the sea, and is three minutes walk to the beach. Enjoy nature at its best with views of Kenmare Bay and its surrounding mountains. It is a hikers paradise, lying just off 'The Beara Way' . Cyclists will also be in their element with The Healy Pass a few kilometres away. Kenmare is half an hour away with wonderful shops and restaurants.

Llama Lodge at the Alpaca Farm

The Llama Lodge is a free standing stone building behind our farmhouse in a rural location (16km from Kenmare) surrounded by our herd of friendly, free-roaming alpacas & llamas, and stunning views of Kenmare Bay. There is a king-size bed, a small seating area, an en-suite bathroom, and a seating area with a fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, cutlery & plates. We are a working beef farm and can look after your bikes/motorbikes on site in a safe environment. The Pods have wonderful mountain views and to those who enjoy nature and getting away from the madness for a little while, then this is for you. Each pod is like a little mini apartment. We live near them, so can help with any questions that you might have.
