very nice experience at the cottage - kids liked it and we had lots of games and puzzles to do on a rainy day. interior stair will be remebered :) saw lots of deer and two wild turkeys every day on the gravel road to keep in mind when driving. ski is few minutes alway with a car. most of the close by restaurants (30min away) open after thursdays, so we were goint at the owls head hotel restaurant- not bad but need reservation on a busy days. overall excelent 5 day ski vacation. kuddos to the owner.

Very serene. It was lovely being surrounded by nature, especially with the sound of the creek nearby; that was very soothing.

Everything was really great ! We really liked the chalet , MJ always answered us fast and was super kind. The chalet is very well located, we have direct access to the lake and the bike trail just in front of the house. Everything was perfect, the rooms with really comfortable beds, the kitchen with everything you need to cook like a chef, the balcony with a barbecue and a good view for the sunset! Thank you very much, we had such an amazing time there and can’t wait to be back :)

This place is as advertised. We immediately felt at ease upon entering the place. It is a cozy European style chalet that is close to skiing and the village. We are already planning a return next winter.

We had a beautiful stay here. Being Muslims, privacy was our priority, and we found the place very suitable and private. Had all basic equipments and necessities. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, as well as the rooms with extra linens and towels. The host was friendly and quick to respond. She had given us all required instructions before our check in by message, which made our check in super easy. The patio had good seating also. With the pool, sauna, and hot tub, we were able to have a great stay Alhamdulillah. The pool was to open from June and we had our stay in the last week of May, and so we requested for pool access and the host was nice enough to let us use it. Would definitely consider coming here again!

The place is beautiful. It conservation of a historic building with a sketch expansion. The terraces were superb and had a view of the lake. Everything was perfect we wish we had more time at the cottage even to enjoy more. Recommended

A great stay The chalet is spacious, clean and very well-equipped — nothing is missing. It is also very well located, just 5 minutes from an IGA grocery store, which is very convenient. I highly recommend

Caroline was an excellent host. She was always quick to respond to my messages, and always able to assist in answering questions. The home was so beautiful and comfortable right from the get go! I would definitely go back!

Sophie's chalet worked out very well for our group. We were 9 guys on a golf trip and it was suitable for our needs. Sophie was very responsive when needed. If we go back to Orford I would definitely stay again

Amazing attention to detail. Truly the most thoughtful host I've ever had. The yard and lake is gorgeous and super private. Would come back again. Kitchen is well stacked, they even had a lemon squeezer! We went in early June and there were minimal bugs (other than a couple mosquitos at night fall). Overall a 10/10.

We had a great weekend at this cottage! The lake view is really beautiful, you can't be closer to a lake! The place is very peaceful, no noise, very quiet, a real haven of peace to disconnect! We'll be happy to go back. 😊

My family came to Canada from England because we wanted a snowy holiday. There were seven adults staying in the house for eleven days. The house had everything we were looking for and more. The beds were comfortable, the 2-3 bathrooms were clean, the linens and towels were great. The cinema room was perfect for late night films. The kitchen was fully equipped for many home cooked meals. The spa was clean, stayed hot, and worked the entire time. The housekeepers came by to check on the spa and shovel the snow a few times which we appreciated. We had so much snow while there (more snow than we've seen total in our lives) and the lake was completely frozen. We sledded in their back garden, walked out on the lake, and around the neighbourhood. It's a quiet, friendly neighbourhood. Elaine and Pascale had excellent communication and we felt very welcomed in their home. Go visit Jeffery Mine, the big orange truck, and Chez Pat la Patate downtown. Also go sledding at Dollard Park. A true piece of heaven! The rental is simply perfect: the chalet is impeccably clean, tastefully decorated and better maintained than any I have visited before. Every detail is designed for comfort and well-being. The lakeside setting is peaceful and enchanting, ideal for recharging. And a big thank you to Stéphane, who was always in touch with us to make sure everything was going well – his attention and availability really made a difference. An unforgettable experience. The house was just like it looked in the pictures in a quiet, peaceful area. We enjoyed using the kayaks on the river. Everything was clean. Bring mosquito repellent - lots of mosquitos!
