A charming house from the 1800s with a great atmosphere. The property is beautifully located by the lake overlooking Ålesund and Sunnmørsalpene. Only 15 min by car from Ålesund city and the nearest airport, but is still a place that gives peace of mind. Outside the garden there is cultivated land with grazing animals in late summer. The island of Giske itself is a gem with a marble church from the Middle Ages, beaches, untouched nature and bird life. The island was once home to Norway's most powerful noble family, the Arnungs, and is mentioned in the Snorre saga.

Right outside the living room door there are well-marked, varied hiking trails. You can also go on day trips to Ålesund, Geiranger and Runde. On the neighboring island there is a water sports center with equipment rental.

The caravan is idyllically located with good views. 10 minutes by car from Ålesund city center, 13-16 minutes by bus. Free parking. A 1/2-minute walk to the fjord, where boaters can rent rowboats and paddleboards. Feel free to cycle/walk to Atlanterhavsparken, Tueneset with its beach, trails, gazebos, and campfire area, as well as World War II bunkers. You can walk up to Sugarloaf from here.
