Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Leith

We absolutely loved Kirsteen's place. The coach house itself was just perfect for our needs. Two spacious bedrooms, a large sitting area and kitchen, all in a beautiful neighborhood. We enjoyed walking to the nearby park with our dog, and we really enjoyed the nearby cafe and pub recommended by our hosts. The bus into town was super convenient. We highly recommend staying with Kirsteen for the perfect balance of tourist and local while visiting Edinburgh.

Melissa’s flat has been put together with so much thought, it is stylish, cosy, and comfortable. It is perfectly located to be walkable for all the main sites in Edinburgh and has lots of nice restaurants, coffee shops, and bars nearby (and Melissa provided a guidebook to help find the best spots). Melissa was incredibly accommodating and even arranged an infant cot for us. Would absolutely stay again!

From the beginning, the communication with Daniela and her team was excellent. The location is convenient to all the sites of Edinburgh, especially with a short Uber ride. The neighborhood was peaceful. It is not the most beautiful area, but it felt safe. The house was comfortable and our pups loved the back garden. The price was good, and we would be open to staying here again if in the area.

We loved the decor - so many lovely touches and were really comfortable. The 26 bus meant we were really well connected to Edinburgh and the pretty coast.

A great 1 bed property for 2 people to explore East Lothian. Couldn't fault anything, thanks Leanne. Would stay here again

We booked as a wee catch up/birthday and honestly it was lush, the farm is really stunning and the walks are just so peaceful. The property was spotless, looks amazing and you feel right at home from your first step in the door. The back garden is great if you have a dog (Fully fenced in) so we felt really relaxed knowing she wasn’t able to run off or anything. It is also walkable from Kinghorn station if you are okay with a country road still, obviously that’s not for everyone but we didn’t bring a car and it was fine! It was the calming chill vibes we wanted for our wee trip and it’s exactly what we got! We are planning our next stay already.

The Garden Cottage was everything we hoped for and more. The location was very convenient to Stockbridge and all of its restaurants and shops. There are numerous bus stops within 10-20 mins walk to grab a quick bus up the hill into New Town, across Princes Gardens into Old Town, or even for easy day trips like to Rosslyn Chapel or Portobello. Victoria was a very accommodating host and easy to work with. The cottage had plenty of space, was very well equipped for self-catering, and was stocked with all the basics you need (e.g., coffee, tea, sugar, etc.). Having a washer and dryer (as well as a drying rack) was a luxury we’ve rarely seen in the UK or Europe.

The accommodation, located in the heart of the Leith district, is perfectly served by public transport and provides easy access to Edinburgh city center. The apartment is spacious and well-stocked.

Stayed here for 4 nights on our girls trip and we just loved it! The location is ideal such a hidden gem. Directly outside the apartment is the bus stop that takes you directly into the old town/ city centre ( 20ish mins ) & the tram is just a 5 min walk away! As well as an Aldi 3 mins away with really cheap groceries. Directly outside the apartment are a lot of amazing places to eat and drinks and patios facing the water! The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful and safe & the kitchen was stocked with everything you need, as well as the bathroom! Super clean. The beds weren’t very comfortable but everything else was amazing! Washer + dryer was also broken upon arrival and we were expecting to do laundry so that sucked, but he offered compensation for dry cleaning. Overall, would most definitely recommend and will be back :)

Great location and beautiful surroundings! A perfect small apartment for a place to sleep while you explore Leith and Edinburgh. You’ll get a good booty burn every time you return home; 4 flights of stairs to the apartment door!

Picked this location for the cost, and overall it was worth it. We did have to drive into the city but that was not a bad drive at all. There was a Tesco at the end of the street which was nice to have within walking distance. The apartment overall was good. My favorite part was looking out the kitchen/living room windows and seeing a church, that was pretty cool. Easy to get in and out of the house, with it only being 2 flights up we took the stairs every time except for when we had our luggage.

We loved the area and the location was perfect for catching the tram, groceries, restaurants/pubs within walking and the peacefulness it provided. Highly recommend!

This was the nicest place of our stay! The pictures do not do it justice. You literally have the most amazing view overlooking Edinburgh. You can tell the owners put a lot of effort into making this place spectacular. They have an incredible taste, and we were very fortunate to have the opportunity to stay there. I highly recommend!

it was right on the main drag, easy to find and close to lots to do. It was very secure in that you needed a code to enter the first door off the street and then a code to get into your apartment. The apartment was very nice and enjoyable. The view of the castle from our window was great! The host was very accessible. We would return! Thanks,

From the moment I arrived, everything was exactly as described — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared. I truly appreciated the little touches, from the welcome snacks ，local guidebook ，cozy bedding, to how responsive and helpful you were throughout my stay. It really made me feel at home. The location was perfect, and your home offered the ideal balance between comfort and convenience. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I definitely recommend the place, and I hope to return someday!

Great stay just outside Edinburgh. Quick trolly ride or a 25 minute walk into town on the Leith Walk. So much to see it goes by quickly! The internet was fast, house was clean, and check in with Craig’s parents was easy. Woke up to the sound of birds every day! No traffic noise keeping us awake.

Amazing place to stay while visiting Edinburgh. Located in a cute neighborhood where you can feel like a local. Very walkable. Excellent views in two directions, to the water in Newhaven/Leith and towards Arthur’s Seat/old town. Gorgeously decorated and also very comfortable. Anita shared super helpful recommendations that made our stay that much more memorable - even recommendations for our drive to and from London (to stop at Holy Island / Lindisfarne Castle which was a trip highlight). Kitchen properly outfitted for good cooking and grocery stores walkable nearby. So lovely - I wish I could live here.

I highly recommend Anke-Beate's flat. We would definitely return. The location is ideal to get around Edinburgh, it is spacious and even better than the photos. Everything was clean, and the added touches were very much appreciated. The flat is fully kitted out with everything needed. Communication was great. Thank you for a great stay!

We had a great stay in Brian's apartment. Instructions for getting key were clear and easy to follow. The apartment was spotless and had everything required for a very pleasant stay. We enjoyed having the patio area to sit in for morning coffee or an evening refreshment. Easy local transport links to city centre are very close by. Pubs, restaurants and a large Supermarket are within an easy 10 mins walk. Brian was easy to communicate with and gave us some local recommendations. We would recommend Brian's apartment and will book again if its available when we are visiting Edinburgh again in the future.

We spent two nights at The Butler's Basement for my husband's birthday and it was an ideal base. We did have an issue getting in as the lockbox didn't work, but her son came down and resolved the issue. The apartment was very clean and in a great area - some lovely bars and restaurants that we preferred to spend time in, more than the busier side of Edinburgh. Gemma was very responsive to my messages and we also had a bottle of fizz in the fridge as well as some short bread and chocolate. It might be an idea to put a small bottle of milk in the fridge, as we did have tea and coffee provided but didn't want to buy a whole pint of milk to make a couple of drinks. However it certainly wasn't an issue that would stop us staying again!

We had 5 days in this beautiful city and we were lucky enough to stay in this beautiful apartment on the water. The view was amazing. Beds super comfortable with crisp comfy linens. Great hot water and roomy bathrooms. I would stay here again in a heart beat... we were a little sad to leave. 10/10

Hey all, it was my first time in Edinburgh and i chose not to stay in old town but in Stockbridge and what a good decision. The area was so beautiful with lots of small shop and restaurants . Sonia and Chris were great hosts and their place was extremely comfortable. I apologise to them for not clearing up the morning breakfast as we were in a rush to leave. The place is cosy yet spacious. Had all necessary amenities. Sonia was very quick in all the responses. The place came comes with a guide to all the places and things to do near by. The place is next to a small but really nice art gallery and i got to buy some art for my home. I would totally stay here again.

We spent a few days in Edinburgh in June and Rachel's AirBnB was perfect - clean, comfortable and relaxing. We knew we were within a few minutes of Holyrood and the end of the Royal Mile so walking up to the castle was easy. But we were also only a few minutes walk to all the major bus services which we used to get around the city. We would come again.
