The Ancient Baglio - Dammuso 'Il Gelso'

The Antico Baglio (“U Bagghiu” in Sicilian) is the only building of its kind in Pantelleria and dates back to around 1700. It is located in the Sesi archaeological area, 400 meters as the crow flies from the coast, 9 minutes from the town of Pantelleria and 14 minutes from the airport. It is made up of four independent Dammusi which can be accessed from the beautiful internal patio. A place of relaxation, in which you can enjoy a timeless atmosphere with typical Mediterranean rhythms and scents!

Wonderful dammuso with pool!

If you want to discover the soul of Pantelleria our dammuso is what you are looking for! With sea view, sun terrace, outdoor kitchen and pool, surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, it is located in the northeast area of the island, very practical and at the same time quiet! The property is powered 100% by photovoltaic energy to reduce our impact on the environment and that of your holidays! The dammuso is not part of any resort and is managed directly by us who live on the spot! :)

The property consists of 2 dammusi equipped with all the necessary comforts to make your stay is as relaxing and carefree as possible. The property is surrounded by 8000m square of land cultivated with olive grove and with the famous zibibbo of Pantelleria. Beautiful house, clean and has all the necessary comfort. Located 5 minutes by car from the port of Pantelleria, for this supermarkets, bars and shops are very close. The location also allows the most beautiful beaches to be reachable in a maximum of 30-40 minutes by car. Our point of reference was Gianluca's father, a very special person, very kind and always available, he gave us advice on the island and came to the rescue when the car was blocked in the middle of the street despite being late at night. We can therefore say that the stay was on the line, if not higher than our expectations and if we come back we will definitely choose them!

Franca's dammuso is ideally located from which to watch a wonderful sunset every night. Not far from the village where there are the main services. Franca was very helpful and kind since booking and gave us a lot of useful information before our arrival. Check-in has been managed by Brigida and Giuseppe, who, from pantesti Doc, know how to give many tips on the island. The dammuso is very spacious and complete with a need. The outdoor space is also well organized. Excellent cleanliness. Highly recommended for those who don't claim luxury to fully enjoy Pantelleria in true traditional style.

Francesco's dammuso gave our family a special experience on the island of Pantelleria. The house is located in the middle of the vineyards and from the panoramic roofed terrace we enjoyed the view for breakfast and dinner. A beautiful decorative garden. A convenient outdoor shower. The functional and well-kept interior is always fresh. We slept very well. I would say it is a perfect place for those who love nature and tranquility. We fell in love and if we were to return to the island, we would come back here. Francesco gave us a lot of useful information and was flexible with the checkout, which we really appreciated. Our children really enjoyed the house and had the opportunity to explore and play. See you soon and thank you

Staying at this remote house in Pantelleria was an unforgettable experience. Surrounded by a serene forest, the property offers absolute peace and a deep connection with nature. The house itself is beautifully integrated into its environment, providing all the comforts needed for a relaxing stay. The other real treasure is the nearby lake—a 5 minute drive reveals an idyllic spot for swimming. The water was clear and inviting, and we often had the entire lake more or less to ourselves. This place is perfect for anyone seeking solitude and natural beauty. It's a true escape, and I’m already planning my next visit.

Very pleasant stay in Amico's dammuso and flexible check-in coordinated by Carola. Truly wonderful location in the countryside around Sibà with truly breathtaking views, as you can see in the photos. Access road a little uncomfortable but in the norm of Pantelleria. I'd go back, recommended.
