The Ancient Baglio - Dammuso 'Il Gelso'

The Antico Baglio (“U Bagghiu” in Sicilian) is the only building of its kind in Pantelleria and dates back to around 1700. It is located in the Sesi archaeological area, 400 meters as the crow flies from the coast, 9 minutes from the town of Pantelleria and 14 minutes from the airport. It is made up of four independent Dammusi which can be accessed from the beautiful internal patio. A place of relaxation, in which you can enjoy a timeless atmosphere with typical Mediterranean rhythms and scents!

If you want to discover the soul of Pantelleria our dammuso is what you are looking for! With sea view, sun terrace, outdoor kitchen and pool, surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, it is located in the northeast area of the island, very practical and at the same time quiet! The property is powered 100% by photovoltaic energy to reduce our impact on the environment and that of your holidays! Here's the ideal solution for a dream vacation. Facing west, a stone's throw from the sea and the marina of Scauri, with incredible views of the island's spectacular sunsets, it also has access to the large exotic garden that collects dozens of specimens of rare beauty. Vincenzo's dammuso is simply a gem!Located near the town of Pantelleria, it is convenient for major services (market, shops, bars, the 2 gas stations on the island and the airport). Despite this, it enjoys a secluded, discreet and quiet location. Ideal for unplugging! The unique indoor environment is spacious and comfortable for 2-3 people. Equipped with all the comforts for a long-term stay. The outdoor spaces are large and beautiful. We spent a lot of time in the patio...in the evening, waiting for the sunset lying on the armchairs enjoying the garden and sea view is priceless!!!! Upon our arrival, Mrs. Rosalia welcomed us in a fragrant and very clean dammuso, explaining the (few) instructions for the stay. However, she was always available for any need. Thanks again for this wonderful vacation! Highly recommended!

Beautiful house, clean and has all the necessary comfort. Located 5 minutes by car from the port of Pantelleria, for this supermarkets, bars and shops are very close. The location also allows the most beautiful beaches to be reachable in a maximum of 30-40 minutes by car. Our point of reference was Gianluca's father, a very special person, very kind and always available, he gave us advice on the island and came to the rescue when the car was blocked in the middle of the street despite being late at night. We can therefore say that the stay was on the line, if not higher than our expectations and if we come back we will definitely choose them!

The dammuso is even more beautiful, spacious, practical and welcoming than you can already see in the photos. The area where it is located is particularly quiet and peaceful, but not isolated. 100% relaxing and conveniently close to the town center/services. Excellent cleanliness, bathrobes and towels are also offered and the kitchen is very well equipped! Availability and friendliness are the watchwords of the host who made us feel at home from the very start. The location of the dammuso offers spectacular sunsets facing Africa, this makes your stay at this property even more pleasant and evocative.

perfect home for a two-week stay. Recently renovated, very clean and equipped with all comforts including wifi and air conditioning in the bedroom. The location is perfect for reaching the center even on foot and strategic for reaching all the most beautiful coves of the island by car. Caterina was very kind and always available. She gave us a lot of tips to make the most of our vacation. She picked us up at the airport and helped us get the rental car with a little discount thanks to her agreement with the car rental company. Highly recommended and we hope to be back soon.

A jewel The dammuso of Annalisa is a wonderful jewel immersed in the Pantesque countryside that does not lack a wonderful sea view. Silence and privacy a stone's throw from the airport and a few minutes from the port for those arriving with the ship like us. The dammuso fully met all our expectations, characteristic, comfortable, clean and with attention to detail, but I believe that its most beautiful pearl is the pantesque garden usable from the inside of the house enriched with a barbecue, sink and a nicelem tree. Thank you Annalisa for welcoming us with kindness and kindness. Always available, you made us feel at home. Beautiful experience. Ilenia and Antonio
