We are not a huge commercial venture, but owned, operated, maintained, and cleaned by hosts who live within 150 yards. The Kottage is our only offering. We charge a cleaning fee of $35 a stay, so there isn't a list of chores at check out. We take up to 4 hours between every stay to extensively clean and disinfect every surface. We will stay here again! Casey’s place was clean with abundant towels, linens and extra blankets and pillows. The beds were very comfortable. He had fans in the closets which were nice for white noise at night. This is in a prime location in Lawrence near everything. if you are coming with young children, be aware there are stairs. We failed to see this in the listing photos (our mistake), that there were stairs in the kitchen with one set going down right next to another going up. We brought our young children, one of whom is crawling. We purchased an extra long baby gate from Walmart which solved this and were able to fit it in our car to take home. Just something to be aware of and we still rate this with five stars. Casey is a very responsive and welcoming host.

Our stay was enjoyable. The price was a steal compared to hotel costs in the area. The host had an issue with previous guests damaging the property and contacted us immediately. The damage did not deter us from staying, and the place was very clean and comfortable. It is perfect for 2 people with clean appliances, plenty of towels, toilet paper, and coffee was provided. We would definitely stay there again.

I very much enjoyed my stay! With all the amenities (in unit washer/dryer, full kitchen) and all the surrounding restaurants and shopping I was able to thoroughly enjoy my time away from home. It made for a wonderful rest and relaxation spot at the end of my busy days. If I ever need to come back to the area I will definitely be booking again!

Cheerful 2 Bedroom Home - 5 min from DWTN/KU!

The house is simple and had an old charm to it. The bathroom is Jack and Jill style so it can be accessed from both bedrooms. If someone is sleeping on the couch then one of the bedrooms will need to be left open so they can access the bathroom too. The water gets nice and hot very quickly, and has good pressure. The stove is gas.
