The Lost Coast Cottage is a beautifully remodeled home nestled in the Mattole Valley at the northern end of the Lost Coast. The house is just minutes from beaches and the Mattole River. It has natural wood throughout, with three bedrooms, two baths, a fully stocked kitchen and pantry, decks, new beds and linens, a propane grill and backyard. We want to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Our exceptional cleanliness, amenities, location, and hospitality are why guests make repeat visits.

Remote work friendly with fast, dependable, unlimited, StarLink WiFi. ADA friendly.

Tent, q-sized inflated bed, showers, ocean 1 mile

This tent is permanently darkened on the exterior by mold. We cannot clean it without destroying the waterproofing. It is ugly, but otherwise in very good shape; interior is NOT moldy. Tent is roomy, w/queen-sized inflated bed, firepit/free wood, picnic table, & propane heat if needed ($8 ). Bring your own bedding: pillows, towels, sleeping bags, etc. We can provide bedding if necessary, but have to charge a $20 flat fee for laundering (PG&E costs are ridiculous), for which we are sorry.

This place is truly unique with it's "one of kind" natural Redwood amphitheater and open meadow views. Enjoy the early morning (and sometimes all day) sounds of ducks, geese, turkeys and cattle . Surrounded by acres of Redwood trees, no street lights, and lots of wildlife. Enjoy the stars from the patio in redwood rocking chairs. The cottage has Roku Smart TV, NETFLIX, WIFI & all basic bath & kitchen essentials.

My guest space is a small, private room (11x7, not incl bathroom) attached to the back of my house. The room has a private entrance off the backyard with an attached private bath. I offer keyless entry. Guests can enjoy the attached deck off the room and relax in a peaceful yard. The room is a burst of color to contrast with the gray days in Humboldt. The room is a short walk to the zoo and several restaurants. Old town is a quick drive.
