Relax in your large private garden with outside dining/BBQ area or explore the 6 acres of extensive gardens, woodland and paddocks with friendly farm animals; miniature Donkeys, Pigmy goats, VBN sheep and chickens. For lovers of scandi-design and the great outdoors! This award-winning barn is a unique country escape for 1 or 2 people. Handcrafted interiors complement the historic stone farm building. A huge window frames the heather hills and woodlands of the Pentland Hills Regional Park close to Edinburgh. Edinburgh is ~30 mins drive or hike from the doorstep into the Scottish wilderness. Picnic on a hill top, then return to sooth your legs in the wood-fired sauna yurt (available to book as an extra).

Secluded, peaceful area beside the Black Loch ideal for wild swimming The barn is a beautiful cabin for two adults. Set out with all you need for a relaxing stay. Sky Glass tv with Netflix etc. The hot tub is super. Breakfast hampers, Romance/celebration packages, can be pre ordered at booking. Pets are very welcome. We can provide cages or crates, food dishes and beds We have a treat/ toy box. Towels and blanket. Come and visit our lovely gentle animals and parrots. Covered private hot tub.

The Tackhouse

This is a cozy cottage with a gentle contemporary feel. It has two en-suite bedrooms with have superking size beds which can be turned into single beds (let us know prior to your arrival). The kitchen, dining area and the living room are all open plan with a wood burning stove at its centre. The terrace is part of a small enclosed garden, sunny and sheltered from the wind. Castletoun Spa (hot tub,sauna) must be booked in advance for an exclusive use, subject to availablity (£30 per day).

Private apartment in modern farmhouse

Relax in a modern home on our 20 hectare (50 acre) working organic farm just a few miles south of the Edinburgh city bypass. The apartment includes 3 rooms with a private external entrance and a locked internal door if needed. The single bedroom is ensuite; the other main room is a living space with a kitchenette and large sofa bed. We are close to the route south / north too and from Edinburgh but far enough away (1.5km) to not get interrupted by road / traffic noise.
