Gorgeous views from the heights of the Hollywood Hills and state-of-the-art amenities make Venus Modern a standout. This beautifully appointed and supremely chic vacation rental sits high enough to look out over Los Angeles to the Pacific in the distance. Its private lot, contemporary interiors and four suite-style bedrooms can accommodate up to eight friends and family members in a serene setting that’s nevertheless only 5 minutes from the Sunset Strip.

Soak in the California sun from outdoor living spaces that feature lounging and dining areas, a pool and hot tub, and a barbecue. If you’d prefer to relax or entertain indoors, the satellite TV, wet bar, fireplace and Wi-Fi make it easy. This luxury home also boasts high-tech amenities such as a home-automation system and a Sonos sound system.

From the broad glass pivot door at the entry to the foyer’s Venini chandelier and sweeping glass staircase, Venus Modern makes a statement from the start. The drama continues in the open-plan, designer-finished living spaces, where even the floors are finished in custom French white oak or gleaming Porcelanosa tile. A zebra rug and tufted settees in the living room and a Sputnik light fixture in the dining room add glamour, and in the fully equipped kitchen, Miele appliances maintain the sophisticated ambience.

Though the villa feels like your own holiday retreat in the California hills, it’s ideally situated for sightseeing around Los Angeles, with the Sunset Strip only 5 minutes away. It’s 5 miles or less to the boutiques on Rodeo Drive, incredible concerts at the Hollywood Bowl and the thrills of Universal Studios, and about 10 miles or less to the collection at the Getty Center and the nearest golf course. Spend a day tanning, swimming or surfing at one of the three beaches within 25 miles, or try a hike through nearby Topanga State Park.
