The space

Each day at Baan Bua Sawan starts with a breakfast. A villa manager will be on hand should you need anything as you splash in the private infinity pool, stretch out on loungers in the sun on the pool terrace or sip cocktails in the shade of the beach sala. There’s also an al-fresco kitchen, and the house’s Wi-Fi reaches out to the pool.

The villa is surrounded by lush gardens that are framed by walls of glass, making it feel like you’re tucked away in a modern treehouse. An open-concept great room with spacious living and dining areas and a fully equipped kitchen forms the heart of the home; its polished floors and wicker furniture exude casual comfort.

Dhevatara Residence has one honeymoon-worthy master suite with a four-poster bed, sunken bathtub and ocean views, two bedrooms with double or larger beds that open to the pool terrace, and one bedroom with two twin beds. All four bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning.

From the villa’s location near Bophut on the northern coast of Koh Samui, it’s just steps (less than 50 yards) to the nearest beach, making it easy to pop back home for a snack or to swap one beach read for another. It’s also just a 10-minute drive to popular local attractions such as the lively beach town of Chaweng, the pedestrian market of Fisherman’s Village and the impressive Big Buddha.
