The space
Nothing interrupts the Lake Taupo views from these two luxury villas homes except your own private pools. Nestled within 58 acres of bushland, each private villa terrace looks out to these native forests and the changing hues and reflections of Lake Taupo’s Mine Bay. The Ngātoroirangi Mine Bay Māori Rock Carvings are accessible via a short swim/ kayak. Dramatic mountain views of Ruapehu, Tongariro, Ngauruhoe and Pihanga can be seen across the lake from the Estate.
Each villa has its own outdoor living areas with a swimming pool, spa, sitting and dining furniture. In the evenings, you can flip on the fireplace and set the mood with the sound system, or stay in touch with the outside world via Wi-Fi. An espresso machine will fuel your outdoor adventures, and laundry facilities will help you start each activity with fresh gear. This vacation rental includes a spacious 2-bedroom villa and a 3-bedroom villa. All 5 bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, and several have lake views. While they can accommodate up to 10 guests, the smaller villa could also be a retreat for a couple wanting honeymoon-style privacy.
The Point Estate offer access to The Ngātoroirangi Mine Bay Māori Rock Carvings via a short swim/ kayak. It’s also a short drive from the roaring blue waters of Huka Falls, where the lake drains out of its caldera, and the shops and restaurants in the town of Taupo. Thirsty travelers can also plan to visit the craft breweries and wineries outside of downtown.
