The Rusted Cage

Come and rest in peace, in the typical village of Amieira do Tejo nestled in its valley descending on the banks of the Tagus. The house, located on the heights of the village, near the calvary, overlooks the pastures and eucalyptus forest. The nearby town of Nisa offers services and shops. The museum on traditional art and the thermal baths are worth discovering. And of course, the local specialties of cold meats and cheeses are to be tasted. Cosy Studio near River Beach

Take a deep breath and relax in central portugal, away from the tourist traps and noise. Situated in the hills, on the outskirts of a little village, you'll find Casa Hortênsia which is preferable for plant-based guests. With a beautiful view over the mountains, it is the ideal location to enjoy the many river beaches, hiking, cycling and other activities which can be arranged. Your host is a vegan pastry and professional chef and loves to spoil you if you wish to have meals prepared.

This "Palheiro" is nestled between mountains and a small stream in a place called "Pracana Cimeira." The tranquility and landscapes invite you to rest. Just a few kilometers away are several river beaches, small villages where local cuisine abounds, as well as a number of tourist attractions. We are surrounded by hills and forests with an abundance of marked trails, river beaches, waterfalls, lakes and historic towns.
