Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Machico

We spent a week in the apartment and we are very happy with our stay. The apartment was clean, spacious, neat and very nicely decorated – everything looks exactly as in the pictures. The apartment is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay: comfortable beds, a well-stocked kitchen, fast Wi-Fi and a cozy space to relax. An additional advantage was a private garage and a small garden – an ideal place for morning coffee or evening rest in the open air. The location was also a big plus – a quiet neighborhood, and at the same time close to the store. The host was very helpful and responsive, quickly answering any questions. It is an ideal place for a quiet holiday – we will gladly return on the next occasion and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a comfortable, well-equipped and cozy accommodation.

My wife and I had an incredible stay here for our honeymoon. The view is absolutely stunning and makes you just stand and stare out into the valley in awe each day. You are close to nearby walks, shops and natural pools. As you are centrally located, nothing is too far away. The house is well equipped, easy to find and the hosts were very communicative and helpful throughout. We stayed in decent weather at the beginning of June and didnt need to use the heaters at all. Would absolutely recommend and we will be returning!

We thoroughly enjoyed the warm welcome. We ate several vegetables from the garden picked by the owner. The kitchen was well equipped except there was no coffee maker. The beds were comfortable. We were well located for hiking.

Very nice and cozy place, we really loved the amazing view ! The house itself was very charming, and we did not have any trouble for parking the car. Although it is close to the airport, the sound of the planes did not bother us at all. Finally, the island is pretty small so almost everything is accessible by car within an hour or two so totally worth it !

our stay (3 days) was great, the house was very clean, very well decorated and the space had spectacular views. We arrived at night and when we woke up in the morning it was a delight to see the surrounding space and feel the serenity of the environment. The house is fully equipped, which allowed us to have a barbecue... It is about 5 km from the airport, which made it easier for us to rent cars. We recommend Uber for transportation. Airport taxi drivers are not friendly and very expensive. Regarding Andreia, she was very approachable and concerned about us. Therefore, if we return to wood, we will return to staying in the house with all certainty.❤️

We had an amazing stay at this adorable Santana cottage! The view was beyond stunning. The hosts are fantastic. They gave us a welcome basket and provided information about hikes and local restaurants.

Great spacious, very clean, modern, new 2 bedroom /2 bathroom apartment. Washing machine, ironing board. Shampoo / body wash / towels in the bathroom. Supermarket across the street. Ponte Alto Restaurant downstairs, lovely food (fish, meat, pizza, salads) family run business. You need a car in this area. Thank you Jaime a great host. Water, wine, fruit, biscuits left for my husband & I. Lovely restful stay.

Mara was such an excellent host!! Very prompt in her replies and the instructions for checking in are super clear. Her apartment felt like home and we were able to places very conveniently! The place was spotless and Mara was always on standby to answer our questions. Walking from the airport to her place took only 30 min.

Dina was a great, helpful and kind host for us. She responded quickly and clearly to our questions/requests before and after arrival. We were very satisfied with the location, many bars, restaurants, food shops within a 5-minute walk. There is even a white sand beach there :) (one of two in Madeira). 8 minutes to the airport by bus!!! Everything is around and at the same time very calm and not overloaded with crowds of tourists, you feel like a local. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable rest, there were only two of us, but 6 people can easily rest here (there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms). The list of kitchen appliances in the Airbnb ad is very short, in reality, there is a coffee machine, toaster, dishwasher, microwave oven, etc. There is no parking space right next to the apartment (it is the old town), but Dina offered to park the car 150 meters away in a private lot. Obrigado Dina :)

We had a very nice stay. The space was cozy, clean and exactly as described. Communication with the host was easy and quick. I recommend it.

We (two sisters) had a wonderful time in this apartment in Madeira. The reception by José was very warm, he gave us great tips for restaurants and excursions. The apartment is clean, very well equipped and provided with many loving details – from soap and toilet paper to salt, pepper and other small attentions, everything was there. We were particularly impressed by the fantastic view of the sea and the surrounding landscape - simply unforgettable! The location is ideal for exploring the island. We can absolutely recommend this place and would come back any time.

Simply paradise! We felt super comfortable from the first moment. The accommodation is the best we've ever been to - perfect for switching off and letting your mind wander. Everything was super clean and furnished with a lot of love for detail. The garden and the pool are fantastically beautiful and offer absolute relaxation. Waking up in the morning with a view of the sea and the sound of the waves was simply priceless. The kitchen in the accommodation is well equipped – and cooking in the outdoor kitchen was a real highlight, there was really nothing missing. Communication was very warm and uncomplicated throughout. The accommodation is in a small, charming village with a few restaurants where you can eat wonderfully. You can enjoy fantastic sunsets on the beach - a real experience! There is also a small supermarket nearby for daily needs. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely the best Airbnb we have stayed in! It’s even better than the pictures. Had all the amenities you could think of and more. The attention to detail was incredible. The hosts were amazing as well. They gave great recommendations and very easy to contact. They really made our stay special. Hopefully we will be back to Madeira again one day and will for sure be staying here again!

Guido welcomed us with a baked by his lovely wife. Every morning, we are served with 2 freshly baked pastel de nata. We can’t help but feel like living with a close friend or relatives. The unit is thoughtfully furnished and clean. Highly recommended as long as you have a car. It took us 10 mins from the airport and about 20 mins to Funchal city centre

The stay at Juan’s House let us to relax in great atmosphere. The apartment is well equiped even including cofee machine. There is a view at ocean from taracce. It is very clean and very well prepared for guests.

Leonardo let us check in early. Beautiful clean environment right next to the water. He provided a clear and quick video to watch for instructions. Parking is a little complicated but your car is safe in a garage which is nice. Definitely recommend.

A lovely apartment: convenient, well-situated and pleasant views. Good location if you have a hire car; Funchal isn’t far at all, and there are many local shops and restaurants. Host-wise, unless you speak a little Portuguese, it can be slightly difficult; Jose is happy to call and speak for his mother. Very friendly and welcoming!!!

The apartment was perfect for our family, a great base to explore the island. Well equipped for a family though we only used for breakfast, eating out in the many local restaurants . The bakery downstairs is fabulous , serving breakfast, lunch and snacks..

We stayed for a week with 4 people in a very nice apartment. We enjoyed the 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Ideal for 2 couples. We highly recommend this clean and tastefully decorated accommodation. This condo was beautiful, clean, and had an amazing view. Plenty of seating, close to a grocery store and many restaurants. The infinity pool which looked over the ocean was lovely. We would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed the individuality of the apartment and the outdoor space . It is up a hill but all good exercise ! The bus stop for the ride to Monte Palace Gardens is close by and makes a lovely day out . Carlos is welcoming and the apartment is lovely and clean .

The space is in an incredible location. 5-star reception. I'll be back!
