Holiday rentals with beach access in Mahahual

I stayed at Perla's place in Mahahual for 3 nights and it was perfect for me. It is located on the main street where you can find all the restaurants, stores, pharmacies, etc. It is not even 1 block away from the malecón (boardwalk along the beach). You just cross the street and walk through a little laneway and you're at the beach. It's also a short walk to get the colectivo to Bacalar or Chetumal. You can't beat the location. The place was clean. Perla provided 2 towels and 2 beach towels, and left a couple of apples and a pineapple for me. The AC, wifi and shower all worked well. There was a fridge and microwave should you want to use them, though I didn't. And the bed was huge (king size). The place doesn't have bells and whistles but is perfect for what I needed and was exactly like the photos and description. Note: As other reviews mentioned it's on the main street so you do hear traffic go by, though with the AC on and earplugs in, I slept perfectly well.

The photos fail to describe the wonderful of the place. The view from the terrace is another level of beauty. We hit a full moon and you can't imagine that view and the awesome sunrise. In the depto everything impeccable and good taste. Thanks to Alejandra and Mr. Urs x their attention at all times. It was like being at home Pero on the beach shore. Thank you

Great place to stay, right across the malecon from the beach. Staff was great and friendly, very accommodating. Watch out for Dave. The apartment could use some kitchen supplies, cups etc. It’s on the second floor and the steps are difficult. We had a wonderful 10 day stay and will be back. Mahahual is a beautiful small town on a beautiful beach with great food and warm, friendly residents!

Christi was awesome, very helpful and response. Place is nice and right near the beach and a bunch of nice restaurants. Only hiccup was the power going out briefly but she did a great job getting it set back up

Eric and Jorge are two excellent hosts. Super friendly and very willing to give you all the local information. The simply magical little town. Highly recommended. And the sea view is a dream. One of the best hosts I've met on this app.

Comfortable and spacious. Good location, close to the sea A little small garage but everything is fine for a small car

Great place, everything works, water is hot, kitchen has all appliances, cool patio with second kitchen for outside cooking, comfortable beds with 3-layer bed sheets for sanitary purpose, AC in all rooms and so on. We had a great stay, in this cozy and nice place. Fernando is super helpfull at anytime and Mahahual is really smart place for family vacation.

Excellent location The beach is quite nice and sleeping totally disconnected from the world is priceless. For the season it was to be expected the sargassum but it did not represent a problem since you can go to the other beaches.

The house was in a great location. Our host was amazing. She was quick to respond anytime I messaged her. We were visiting from the U.S. and we wanted to stay by the beach and found this place. It's about a 15-min walk to the beach and maybe a 7-min drive, probably shorter if you know where you're going. The furniture in the living room was uncomfortable to sit on, so we all sat around the table which was huge. We didn't use the pool because there's no ladder or steps to get in or out, so a couple of people in our group couldn't use it & we didn't want to leave them out - also it was a little hazy, but that could've been the weather being so humid. The pics show a lot of chairs outside in the back but there was only one lounge chair and a few chairs around a table. Even that was enough though. I'm not complaining about it I'm just letting you know. We love the place and we will book again. We also loved the recommendation of the Corner Bar! Yummy food, go there. Also, stay here.

This place was paradise! Not only is it beautiful and exactly as described. It was even better. The amazing family across the road absolutely made the trip perfect. They made us so many incredible meals!!! So polite and so kind. They tuned us in to real Mexican food. And lots of it!! We had an amazing time on the beach. The rooms have ac and super comfortable. Road was slow and bumpy, but that only added to our adventure!! Thank you 🩷🩷🩷

A corner of calm and beauty. The house is just lovely. Each space is tastefully decorated, combining the rustic with the cozy, the natural with the functional. You can see the care in every detail: from the furniture to the lighting, everything invites you to feel comfortable and in peace. It's fully stocked, we didn't need anything. The kitchen, the common areas, the rooms... everything is designed so that you can enjoy without worrying about anything. The rooftop is a real privilege: spacious, private, and with a view that offers memorable moments. And access to the beach, so close, makes every day a unique experience. A perfect stay in every way. We would definitely be back.

Location Location Location! This is an incredible spot right on the beach. there is a very good coffee shop right in the building, but the apartment is equipped with a coffee maker if you want to make your own. Very well stocked apartment, pretty much everything you need is right there. the wifi worked very well too. The beach in front of the apartment was so clean and beautiful! One thing to note is there is not a queen size bed in either bedroom so just be aware if you're tall but by no means is this a reason pass on this apartment with gorgeous views. loved it!

We were very happy !!! Excellent hosts. They were aware of what we needed and let us settle in earlier as we arrived sooner after a long trip, we really appreciate it. The beach a few steps away, with great privacy and freedom. Beautiful place. Upon returning, we would love to stay here again <3
