Our cosy hut consists of a comfortable bedroom with an enchanted view of Assaroe Lake: enjoy it on our 3 deckings! The cabin is very close to our house but secluded from it, buried in the woods. The room provides a tranquill escape from frantic life:- there’s no television or WiFi, just a radio. Kitchen facilities are basic but functional. We provide the basis for a continental breakfast. Beaches and hiking trails are very close by. WE ACCEPT PETS ONLY AFTER CONSULTATION WITH THEIR OWNER.

Pure bliss. This place is so gorgeous with a private gate onto the beach. So peaceful we both were able to decompress. The cottage itself is beautifully, artistically decorated. Everything you need. Sea views from almost every window, just perfect. We were sad to leave. Quiet area, Donegal was a lovely place to visit and we caught some authentic trad music at The Glen Tavern in Glenties. Dooey beach is close by and stunning and we were the only people there! Alanna, the host, was super helpful and friendly.

Wir waren für vier Tage die Gäste in Charles Unterkunft. Wir haben jeden Tag sehr genossen. Es ist ein wunderbar ruhiger Ort mit einer unfassbar schöne Aussicht. Wir hatten das große Glück von perfekten Wetter und saßen auch oft draußen. Charles ist großartig. Er brachte uns am Anreistag einen Begrüßungswein und erklärte uns alles. Aufgrund der sommerlichen Temperaturen brachte er uns auch noch einen Ventilator. Er ist ein sehr freundlicher Gastgeber. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist auch für Unternehmungen ideal. Gerne wieder. What a wonderful, comfortable, warm and clean house with a beautiful view. It was so tranquil and peaceful looking out at the amazing view. House is very tastefully decorated with everything there that is needed. The hot tub is a brilliant addition, loved it. Laura is a wonderful host and we would highly recommend this place.

We spent two months in this wonderful cottage while awaiting our move to our new home. Sean was an incredible host who was so helpful, welcoming and kind. We fell in love with the cottage! It was just perfect for us. Beautiful decor that was just to our taste. We never got tired of the view of the bay which provided hours of walks and entertainment. The area is peaceful and really lovely. We love to cook and the kitchen was very well equipped. Also, a wonderful library of famous Irish authors! What a bonus! I was able to read 4 great novels during our stay! This cottage is a perfect escape but is close to Dungloe, shops and amenities. We spent many days discovering the gorgeous beaches in the area. We will never forget our time at this wonderful Airbnb and we will definitely be back. Sean and his lovely cottage provided a perfect introduction to our new life in Ireland. Thank you so much for making our first months here so memorable! Just perfect!

Our stay at River Cottage felt less like checking into an Airbnb and more like stepping into Anna and Luke’s thoughtfully curated retreat. Nestled beside a usually gentle stream, the cottage offered a rare kind of quiet. We found ourselves unwinding in ways we hadn’t expected. As if the place itself were helping us silence the usual rush of thoughts. The sauna and cold plunge, discreetly positioned at the water’s edge, added a touch of simple luxury. They blended seamlessly into the natural surroundings rather than standing out as flashy extras, even when lit up at night. We explored the surrounding area by car and found Sligo to be the perfect complement to the cottage’s peaceful seclusion. My wife and I already feel drawn back to this little slice of Ireland - eager for another chance to recharge in the calm that Anna and Luke have created. We’re also looking forward to seeing their next ideas come to life.
