Quiet and relaxing space in my home in the Olomana subdivision at the base of Mt. Olomana in lovely and coveted Kailua. Spectacular views of Mt. Olomana. To stay here though, you must be a dog lover because you'll be greeted by Murphy (chocolate lab) and Lulu (bordoodle (border collie/poodle).
“Susan is a fantastic host and I had an incredible time staying at her place! She is a very kind, friendly and hospitable person and goes out of her ways to make everyone's stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The place itself is very clean, easy to access and has everything you might need. The location is perfect for exploring the island. And of course, a special mention goes to her three fluffy co-hosts - Lulu, Daisy and Murphy. Such adorable lovely dogs, I had a great fun spending time with them. Honestly, if you love dogs, look no further - this is the place to stay.”

“Book way ahead if you hope to get Gary and Diana's place for your trip to Kailua. After much research of options there, I reserved our stay there 5 months before our trip. I'm glad I did. When I checked again a month later, their space was booked solid for months before and after our week. If we had chosen to stay in the Kailua area, we would have been fine without a car as it's an easy walk to restaurants and beaches, however, Gary wisely suggested to really see the island it's best to rent a car. Smart choice. Using less than a full tank of gas, we split our time between exploring the island and beach time. Our favorite beach was just 5-6 miles away at Waimanalo. Although the Kailua beaches are amazing, parking can be an issue. That was never the case at Waimanalo. Much fewer people there. And don't forget to check out the stretch of coastline between Waimanalo and Waikiki. Gary and Diana made us feel right at home and have thought of every detail in their space. Bottom line is that it's an incredible value.”
The studio is perfect for one or two persons. It is very conveniently located within walking distance to Kailua town and white sandy beach (around half a mile or 10 minutes walk). Fully furnished clean private studio with queen size bed, drop leaf table with folding chairs, fully stocked kitchenette and bathroom, free basic cable TV and WiFi, private covered carport, AC and fan with double panel windows for quiet relaxation. Private outdoor dinning and sitting area by the garden with gas grill.
“There are not enough good thing to say about Wen’s place! Her hospitality was outstanding, she was in constant communication and even let us in on when farmer markets would be set up in the Kailua area. Her place was perfect for my husband and I! She provided beach towels, beach gear, and reusable shopping bags/thermal lunch box (we ended up buying our own for souvenirs). My only “complaint” would be at first the Airbnb was a little tricky to find(due to our flight landing late and arriving at the Airbnb in the evening) but Wen made sure to provide directions (a few weeks ahead of time from our reservation date) from the airport to her place (provided alternative route due to a highway closure) and with pictures of the road/cross road. My husband and I definitely feel we got what we paid for, and we enjoy supporting local instead of hotel stays if we can. We would definitely return to this Airbnb if we’re ever in the area again!”
