Holiday rentals with lake access in Marion County

This was our 3rd year coming to the Summerfield area for a 6 week period. This location is comparable with the others we've tried but what sets this one apart is the backyard. A long dock extending into Smith Lake is an awesome place to sit and relax at the end of the day. At first, the neighborhood seems a little "sketchy". However after walking around quite a few times, we felt safe and the neighbors that we saw were nice and welcoming. There was plenty of room for our full-size pickup truck, large trailer, and Canam Spyder. We had friends come by for a couple weeks. There was also plenty of room for their truck, trailer and Harley Trike. When we start making plans for next year, if this location is available, we will definitely be back.

Our stay at the lake house was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with stunning views of the lake and a peaceful atmosphere that immediately made us feel relaxed and at home. The house itself was beautifully maintained—clean, cozy, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially loved spending time on the beach, soaking in the serene surroundings. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, making our stay smooth and stress-free. Whether it was the comfortable beds, the well-stocked kitchen, or the helpful guidebook with local recommendations, everything showed a high level of care. Highly recommend this lake house for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

We always have a great time at the lake house! We have made beautiful memories and will continue to do so. Thank you Jennifer for allowing us to make all these great memories at your lake house these last several years! We always feel right at home. The lake is amazing, my husband loves that he is able to put the boat in the water right from the yard. He and the kids love the bass they catch out there! We love kayaking around the lake too! The water is always so clear. Wonderful and friendly neighbors. The house is also perfect for us. No matter the weather we always have an amazing time!

Peaceful place on the river! Very close to a public boat ramp. Also close to local restaurants and stores.

Our stay was amazing, it was very peaceful away from all the noise. Enjoyed all the nature. Very clean place lots to do.

We loved staying here and plan on coming back. It was easy access with our boat to Silver Springs. I wouldn’t change anything about our stay. The host was a gem and the place was perfection. 5 stars isn’t enough- 10/10!

The home was absolutely beautiful—brand new, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. Everything was super clean, which we really appreciated. There was more than enough space for our kids to run around both inside and outside. The fenced-in yard gave us a sense of privacy and peace of mind with little ones, and the huge backyard was perfect for playing and relaxing. The lake was a major highlight—the water was incredibly clear, and the beach area was just the right size for lounging and letting the kids splash around. It felt like our own little private escape. The water was warm and perfect for swimming. You can tell the hosts put a lot of thought into creating a space that’s welcoming and comfortable for families. Would absolutely recommend and hope to come back again!

Wonderful stay. The cottage was exactly as described. Very clean. I felt very safe staying there by myself and would have enjoyed a longer stay where I could sit on the little porch and relax. It is really a feeling of what Florida used to be. Big trees, older homes. Quiet and relaxed studio cottage. The couch and bed were very comfortable. No frills but didn’t need or want them. If I’m back in the area for another show I’ll try and stay here again. There’s a good local pizza place in Micanopy and a good grill at the Orange Lake RV resort.

This was a great place to stay and Cassie and her co host Chris were helpful and responsive. Everything was spotless and the location itself is beautiful and well taken care of. Would definitely recommend if you’re staying in the area!

Terrific spot right on the river, around the corner from the kayak shop so you can paddle over and catch a shuttle up to the KP hole, paddle back down and end at the dock right by your unit. Fantastic time, the place was clean comfortable and well kept. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a riverfront view and easy paddling access, very nice spot. A little tip turn the air down a few hours before you go to sleep the top floor takes a little bit to cool down. Thanks Matt for our stay in your beautiful spot.

Very quiet little place. It was super clean. The pics show a lot of the St. Johns river, but this is not waterfront. There is a place very close (1.5 miles) called Renegades with a working boat ramp, great restaurant, marina, and live music.

What a perfect place! Lots of traffic in the area and some run down houses nearby, but if you want to kayak and be near the confluence of both rivers and have a wonderful back porch that shuts all that out right on the river, then this is not an issue. Also, the Blue Run and Withlacoochee bike trail are just a short, quiet neighborhood ride away with just a very, very short bridge crossing in traffic across from Swampy's restaurant. We can’t thank Diana and her family enough for making us feel right at home and for making our stay so pleasant. She was always willing to help in any way possible. We will make certain to stay here again should we find ourselves in the Ocala area next year. The mark of a great Airbnb is that your guests feel sad leaving it behind—that it becomes their home away from home that provides safety and comfort. This Airbnb hits the mark in every way, and then some. We can’t thank the Martins enough for their generosity and kindness.

Julie’s condo was exactly as described. The view was amazing and just a short walk to the boat and pool. The unit is very well maintained and clean, comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen. My group thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely be back soon. Julie was beyond helpful with condo info and info on boat slips and ramp usage, and always was quick to respond to my requests.

Plenty of room for everyone to have their own bed. The fooseball and dart board were great and the back patio was a nice place to sit and relax.

We always have a great time visiting the cottage on Lake Weir. Larry and Robert are wonderful hosts. The view is beautiful relaxing and peaceful. Perfect for coffee on the dock in the morning and winding down after a day on the beach and in the water on jet skis. Perfect!!!!!!

We had a great time. Second time we have come and stayed here and we would do it again the next time we’re in the area. The lake is beautiful and the neighborhood peaceful.

Very peaceful and quiet Lake home in the country just minutes from "The Villages". Suzane & family are very kind and helpful. They brought treats from their mini orchard farm next to the lake home. Always checked in to see if anything was needed for our stay. Would highly recommend staying. Great location to explore "The Villages".

This is year two that we’ve stayed here. We will be back next year as well. Tom is a great host and always responsive if you have questions. Highly recommend!

We loved the view and the peace/quiet. perfect for our mom's getaway. check out was super simple and the place was cleaned. We enjoyed our time.

The location was fantastic; when we got there, it even looked better in person. It had all the necessities and was a fairly roomy cabin/camper. A huge advantage was the patio and grill. We would definitely return; it's a nice pace for a quick getaway.
