In the winter it can snow here, enjoy a relaxing woodfired hotub in the snow. The local ski field Rainbow is a short drive away.

Okiokinga is te reo for Resting Place - and this cosy bush bach is just that - a tranquil cottage in amongst the native beech forest of the Nelson Lakes National Park. Hidden up a private driveway, you can enjoy the call of tui, bellbird and even kākā flying overhead. Lake Rotoiti is a 3-minute drive or a 10-minute walk, with tramping, biking, forest and lake activities. Guests need to supply own sheets/duvet covers, towels and pillowcases - there are pillows and duvets/blankets available.
