Beach house holiday rentals in Matara

Lovely place in a great location. Slightly tricky to find for our driver but access is via another hotel entrance. There wasn’t any WiFi when we were there and in a bit of a signal black spot but still a great stay!

It was a pleasure to return home to such a nice house. One of the best I've stayed in.

Celine’s house was great for us. 6 persons (4 adults and 2 children 3 and 4 years old). + house exactly the same as on photos. + location is great. + almost private claim beach was good. + Christian and Indra are really great hosts. Please, read feedback from Helen (November 2016) "Myself, husband, two children ......." - it's still actual.

A fantastic stay at The One led by the most wonderful staff who come daily to assist with the property and food. I will absolutely be returning and highly recommend!

It is a great villa. Is much better in real life than in photos. The location is amazing - right on the beach. You can see and hear ocean from the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was really amazed by the whole experience. I’d definitely go there again and probably for a longer period of time.

This was our favorite place we stayed in Sri Lanka during our trip! Beautiful, welcoming, clean and comfortable home with attentive staff. Super close to the beach. Just on the other side of the street. They also let us check in early which was helpful to have a place to store our luggage.

We had a lovely time at Luca's place. The house has everything you need for a great rest. You will be able to observe the few animals that roam freely in the garden. The pool is a big plus in the heat of Sri Lanka. The house is incredibly clean and the people who work there are very nice. Nimesh will help you with any questions, you can contact them at any time. He took us to change money, showed us where the best places to dine were and organized all the excursions for us. He also took care of our trip and picked us up from the airport. Throughout, we were able to enjoy the wonderful dinners prepared by Nirosha including a great seafood barbecue. The house is very well located: only a short walk to the beach and all restaurants/shops. Feel free to book your stay in this house, it's a real little paradise.

Very nice villa with all amenities needed. Beautiful garden directly on the beach. Some nice restaurants nearby. Very helpful and friendly host. You get a massive villa for a good price. For families with small children you should know that not all beds/bedrooms are in the same building.

The best thing about August beach house is it's location..sits right on the beach with lots of nice bars, restaurants and surf schools nearby. The staff were very kind and courteous and they keet the place squeaky clean through out our stay.

We LOVED our stay at Hiriketiya Studios. Nishan was such an incredible host—he went far above and beyond in his hospitality. The place itself is lovely and peaceful with a gorgeous pool and high quality kitchen equipment for cooking. Location wise, it’s in a perfect spot, totally walkable to Hiriketiya or Dickwella beach, cute cafes, big grocery store, and even to snorkeling with turtles.

The place was really nice . It felt cozy and we stayed without any disturbance . Don is a great host , very helpful and he made our trip pretty smooth. Would love to visit again.

A great stay by the ocean. I loved going to sleep to the sound of the waves and watching the turtles right out the front. Lots of food and bar options within walking distance. Definitely recommend!

Ben J Villa is a lovely place to stay in your visit of Weligama area. Very well located, with a swimming pool, A/C working perfectly in every room. Moreover, Tharindu is a very helpful person, he responds kindly and very quickly to any question. I recommend 100% for a fantastic experience in Weligama.

Truly lovely property, which was very relaxing with a lovely garden + pool area. The hosts were great, as was property manager, Isuru. The property was as described and the garden even better than the photos. Hosts gave recommendations + arranged transfers + which were all great, they even recommended properties for a friend to stay at last minute. Check-in was completely hassle free as was contact with the on site manager who was excellent+available whenever messaged and was very responsive to cleaning/maintenance requests. There are lovely restaurants, cafes and beach bars within walking distances, meaning the holiday can be as lively or relaxed as you like. The bakery 2 doors down is fab (and even offers a cooking class which is a must!) A brilliant stay. Thank you - we'd love to come back! x

Very happy, after careful selection, I happened to see this villa.I was attracted at first sight, looking forward to staying, and when I arrived, I was physically and mentally happy. The manager arranged it well, all the staff were very friendly, and the service was very good!In the guestbook of the villa, I saw the messages of travelers from all over the world who have been here. Although they are all strangers who have not met, we intertwine through words and misplaced time and space. It is also a kind of fate!Finally! Have a nice trip!Stay healthy!Hello, stranger!

We enjoyed staying in this wonderful accommodation in welligama! Its a very nice house very close to the beach! We had our own kitchen! the bathroom was clean and good! Access to a washing machine. And the bedroom/Livingroom was very cozy! I love the red curtains! I would recommend this hostage to everyone that wants to stay in between welligama and mirissa!

Wimal’s place was as described , it was very cozy and it has Everything on the description. Wimal and her family were extremely kind and helpful all the time. I feelt safe during all my stay ,(as I’m traveling by my self ) Location wise , I suggest to rent a bike although is walkable to the beach . I want to highlight that the place was very clean and Wimal also helped me to wash some clothes that was highly appreciated! I will definitely recommend this place :)

This was hands down the best spot we found in Hiriketiya. It's just far enough from the busy center to enjoy total peace and quiet, but still only a 5-minute drive by bike to all the beach vibes, cafés, and restaurants Hiriketiya has to offer. The place itself is beautiful—super clean, modern, and brand new. The view is absolutely stunning, and waking up to the sunrise right from bed was a daily highlight. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, always happy to share tips and help with anything we needed. We felt very well taken care of. Highly recommend this gem if you're looking for a calm, comfortable, and scenic stay in Hiriketiya!

Lovely large house surrounded by trees. We had monkeys, a peacock, kitten and fireflies to watch. The house is up quite a narrow road and our driver got lost at first but I phoned Ajith the caretaker and he gave perfect directions. He was also at the end of the phone if we needed anything. It's about a 15 minute walk to the beach and many restaurants. Manuo was great at communication too.

Amazing house with even prettier garden! You have a place for yourself, away from the street but close enough to the supermarket (2 mins) and the beach (1,2 km). The place is calm, private, you can really enjoy your stay in peace and calm. For this amazing price I don't think we could find a better place to stay!

We had a fantastic stay. The hosts are very helpful with recommendations and helped us organize transport to and from the Airbnb. Bonus points for the coconuts!
