Cosy bach in Matarangi

223 Waimaire is a quaint bach just 200m from one of the safest and most beautiful beaches in the Coromandel and only 3 hours from Auckland by car. Matarangi is a lovely destination which has access to walks and safe cycle paths through native forests next to the ocean. It has a small shopping centre and is only 20 minutes from either Whitianga or Coromandel town. It has a stunning 18 hole golf course 5 minutes away and there are 2 good restaurants, also between 5 and 10 minutes away. It is equally beautiful in summer, when swimming and watersports are appealing or winter, when it's much quieter and very cosy in front of the log fire.

Property was well maintained and the rooms sizable and comfortable. Basics available in kitchen too which is helpful when you're travelling. Although we stayed during cyclone Tam and weren't able to enjoy the surrounds as planned - we did get a break in the weather to walk to the beach which is 5 mins away. Local shop is close by too. We did enjoy our stay - Thanks Amy for keeping in touch too to check everything was ok. :)
