Family-friendly holiday rentals in Maydena

Nel's place was an excellent home for us for four days while we explored Dark Mofo in Hobart. It wasn't right in the centre of town, being maybe 10-12 minutes easy drive, but the trade off of a peaceful street with amazing water views and the sounds of the ocean at night was well worth it. A lovely little comfy space with all we needed, including easy parking right out the front. Thanks Nel!

I want to say it was awful so that it’ll be free next time I want to book it. But that’s not fair, everyone should get the opportunity to stay here. Quiet location away from the main roads, gorgeous views from the hot tub on the balcony. Simple, cosy accomodation that was exactly what I was after. Sean was super communicative prior to the stay and everything was so well explained I didn’t need him again except to let him know that regretfully, my stay was over. 10/10, thanks Sean for making such a special place available.

We loved Brian’s house! We visited in Winter but the house was very warm and so inviting with ducted heating throughout. Lots of space inside with great renovations and with beautiful views. The indoor sauna is a great surprise too. We felt instantly at home with thoughtful extras in the fridge and pantry. Our 2 dogs thoroughly enjoyed themselves in the back yard so we are so thankful for it being pet-friendly. We will definately visit again, in summer, so we can enjoy the jacuzzi. We highly recommend Brian’s house, you won’t be disappointed.

We had a wonderful stay in Russell and Ingrid’s cute little cottage with all the creature comforts and a great location. We hope to visit again. They were so kind, allowing us early access - thank you!

Tom and Cate’s place was amazing! One of the best places we have stayed! They had lots of thoughtful touches especially for the kids. They went above and beyond our expectations. Communication was great, the house was amazing and the beds were super comfortable. The kids loved their little surprises and we loved staying there. The place is very cute, lovely and private. Facilities are great, and the spa very relaxing. Skye is a fantastic host, making sure we knew where everything was for a great stay. She was very accommodating, flexible and easy to communicate with.

Beautiful home and fantastic host! Super clean, elegant space with a very large kitchen, living space and incredibly comfortable bed. Scottie was extremely accommodating with both our 11pm check in and use of the spa under the stars. Always available to help, we felt right at home and loved feeding the sheep in the morning!

Nestled in a quiet, leafy spot yet close to all the best Hobart has to offer, it was a peaceful and warm retreat after days of exploring. Our host was incredibly welcoming—sharing fascinating local history and giving us great recommendations for places to eat, shop, and explore. Loved our stay at Ros’ place. Very cosy, all the basics provided! Ros went above and beyond leaving a small toy at the property for our pooch. Very dog friendly!

If we were to stay in Hobart again, staying here would be a no brainer. The home is a delight and the location is perfect for getting around the town. Lots of cute little cafes and restaurants a stones throw away whilst maintaining the charm of an inner city suburb. Everything from check-in to check-out went very smoothly. Thank you to our host Kat for the very prompt and clear communication. I can't recommend the Milkman's Cottage enough.

We had a wonderful time staying at Angela's place! Beautiful space, great neighbourhood, and Angela was awesome to deal with it – super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Was so good to be in walking distance from the North Hobart shops and the Knocklofty hills/bush.

Lois' little cottage was fantastic. Loved the interior, very comfortable and cosy. Short distance to supermarkets and eateries and an easy walk to CBD.

We loved staying at the ModPod because it was private, quiet, and cozy, and our host made us feel very welcome. It had everything we needed and the bed was warm and comfortable which is important for us. It has a spectacular view of the mountains and it’s convenient to pop in and out of Hobart. We highly recommend Jill and the ModPod and will tell our friends and definitely stay again when we’re next visiting Tasmania.

We stayed for 3 nights and it was great. The location next to the river was beautiful. The cottage contained everything we could wish for and was very comfortable.

Jodi and Lindsay were fantastic hosts. Their lovely unit was in a great location and even had a wonderful café on the corner for our morning coffee. We were lucky to stay during the Dark Mofo Festival and Jodi offered great suggestions on different exhibitions to see and events to attend. Thank you Jodi and Lindsay!

Jodi's apartment is at the best location, vrry close to a great cafe, grocery stores, bus stop and moonah shops. Best thing is private car parking which is hard to find with other air bnb places. You can view beautiful mount Wellington from the bedrooms, and living room gets cozy by sunshine during the day. Jodi was kind enough to give us quick tour of the house on checking-in, and also let us stay an extra hour before checking out. Thank you Jodi for letting us stay at your lovely place.

Very spacious property with plenty of towels, bedding, kitchen & laundry amenities and comfort during our stay. The view is spectacular and we were very happy with the heating for our winter stay. Very close to the ferry terminal and lovely pub, cafes and supermarkets close by.
