Let’s start with check in. This might be owned or serviced by a hotel chain, so you have to check in at a hotel and then they assist you via walking to the Airbnb. Parking is a huge plus as there is absolutely no parking in the immediate area. In Europe 4th floor essential means the same as 5th floor in the us, so take that for granted. The apartment was the biggest apartment we stayed in Portugal. Easily the most realistic livable space. It was beautiful. The views were beautiful and the space was tactfully decorated. Would stay again!

Ho trascorso un ottimo soggiorno a Covilhã di tre mesi per lavorare nell'Università di Beira Interior. L’appartamento è in pieno centro, in una posizione comoda per visitare la città e vicino a tutti i servizi. L’alloggio corrisponde perfettamente alla descrizione: pulito, accogliente e ben attrezzato. L’host è stato molto disponibile e gentile durante tutto il soggiorno. Consiglio sicuramente questo appartamento a chiunque voglia visitare Covilhã!

Casa de Manteigas is a perfect base to explore the fabulous Serra Da Estrela. Deceptively spacious, very comfy bedrooms and plush new bathrooms. The balcony means that you can sit outside with a glass of wine or a cup of tea and enjoy views over the village. We would highly recommend and plan on returning.

Apartamento muito confortável, limpo e bonito. Decoração aconchegante. Climatização adequada. Localização muito boa, perto da Torre da Serra da Estrela.

Nice place to stay at for one night. Aircon with heating was nice addition to this place, especially in March when temperatures were quite low.

Beautiful location, spacious apartment with over-sized outside deck area, safe & secure. The only downside is we could only stay two nights. We'll be back👍!

Truly loved our stay at Paulo's place. Beautiful views of vinyards and hillsides with birds chirping in the trees. Paulo was friendly and helpful, offering advice on places to go and where to eat. Lovely restaurant located downstairs. I would recommend staying here for anyone looking to visit the Douro region. Train to Porto stops nearby at Aregos but don't let the short distance on the map deceive you. It's very hilly terrain and not walkable.

An outstanding Airbnb in a beautiful location. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable, with the added bonus of several different places to sit in the garden and enjoy the spectacular views of the Douro valley. But it's the hosts that make this place so special. Casimiro and his son Manuel represent what Airbnb is all about; they personally welcomed us, offering lots of recommendations for places to visit and local restaurants, but were never intrusive. Casimiro's wife had prepared a tray of 'entradas' - a Portuguese starter of cured meats, cheeses, bread and olives - plus a bottle of local wine. A couple of days later Casimiro appeared with an huge bowl of cherries from their own orchard. This Airbnb wasn't just somewhere to stay for a few nights, but an experience to be treasured.

Der Aufenthalt war sehr schön. die Unterkunft ist mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet. Der Austausch mit den Gastgebern war immer sehr nett und hilfreich. Ich würde die Unterkunft wieder besuchen.

My young daughter and I stayed with Maria for two nights. The experience was absolutely incredible. The photos do not fully capture the stunning beauty of the gardens and the surrounding landscape. We felt like we were in a fairy tale. Maria was so kind to provide us with breakfast foods in the fridge with breads we could bake ourselves so they would be warm and fresh and all sorts of coffee, juice and tea. The space itself was beautifully decorated with antique furniture pieces and artwork. We still had the convenience of very fast internet which was great! The bathroom was super clean and modern, the bedroom was spacious and had everything we needed. I cannot wait to find the opportunity to come back and stay in one of the most magical places I have ever been!! Thank you Maria!!

Ana was a great host, the apartment was fully stocked and had so many special additions, like meat, cheese, and bread, fruit, eggs, and other breakfast foods in the pantry. Fresh bread on the door in the morning!! Wine in the refrigerator😃 Pinhao is great to explore and be a homebase. It was wonderful to relax on the balcony and play cards in the living room after a long day of fun.

Die Wohnung befindet sich im ersten Stock. Es gibt eine riesengroße Terrasse, die fantastisch zum frühstücken ist und jeden Abend den Sonnenuntergang möglich macht. Die Wohnung ist sehr großzügig, super gut ausgestattet. Die Betten sind sehr angenehm zum schlafen. Ein besonderer Leckerbissen ist die wunderschöne Einrichtung: sie erinnert fast an ein Schloss… Insbesondere das Wohnzimmer ist total beeindruckend eingerichtet. Der Garten ist wunderschön, riesengroß. Es gibt diverse Obstbäume, die zum naschen einladen. Einen wunderschönen Gartenteich. Das Highlight ist sicherlich der Pool. Man teilt sich den Garten und den Pool mit zwei anderen Mietparteien im Haus. D.h. man muss sich einfach arrangieren. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern war hervorragend. Wir haben tolle Tipps bekommen und bei Rückfragen immer schnelle Antwort. Das Haus liegt in einem sehr kleinen Dorf. Man braucht auf jeden Fall ein Auto. In circa 10 FahrMinuten gibt es einen großen Supermarkt und Restaurants.

Espaço super limpo e acolhedor, zona tranquila. O Sr. Ricardo foi bastante atencioso ao esperar por nós para fazer o check-in mais tarde da hora combinada, devido a um imprevisto com a nossa filha. A casa estava super bem equipada e disponibilizaram-nos café para a máquina, o qual agradecemos! Super recomendo!

A estadia foi muito boa, apesar de haver mais casas no espaço e o jacuzzi e a piscina serem comuns, tivémos sorte com os vizinhos e conseguimos desfrutar do espaço todo. O Tiago também foi sempre muito prestativo, a casa estava em excelentes condições e a estadia foi muito boa. Obrigado mais uma vez e até á próxima 😊

Was there for one night only. The appartment is roomy, the balcony provides a great view. We did not use the kitchen but it was well equipped if we had to use it. Indoor parking space is nice.

Large, well-appointed apartment with lovely deck and views. With four rooms that have en suite bathrooms, would be great for family gatherings or large groups of friends. Clean and spacious, reliable internet. The parking in front of the building was full (only two or three spaces) so we had to park elsewhere in the neighborhood. This was not a problem for us, but it is a hilly area with narrow streets so others may want to consider this if you have a car rental and any mobility issues. Good Italian food across the street at Paço 100 Pressa was very convenient! Host was kind enough to send suggestions where could eat as we arrived on the later side. Very nice accommodation.
